SHINee Taemin and Onew have taken people by surprise when descrbing the ideal types on the show called “Witch Hunt”
On the June 5 episode of JTBC’s “Witch Hunt,” SHINee’s Onew and Taemin appeared as guests, where, while they still have somewhat of an image of being young, they made it abundantly clear that they are not innocent little boys, given the nature of the show.
When asked about their ideal types, Taemin and Onew gave entirely opposing answers. Taemin starts, saying, “I think women who are too calculative aren’t attractive. It’s one thing if she’s so good that it’s not noticeable, but…”
But the hosts get distracted because Heo Ji Woong is staring so hard into Taemin’s face. Heo Ji Woong says, “It’s so interesting hearing a guy’s voice come out of that face. Is it ventriloquism?”
SHINee’s Onew revealed the acceptable age difference in relationships for him.
On the episode of JTBC’s “Witch Hunt” aired on June 5, Onew and Taemin appeared as the special guest for the 95th episode.
When MC Shin Dong Yeop asks, “What is your acceptable maximum age difference in a relationship,” Onew answers, “Though I used to not think about age that much when I was in my early 20s, now I feel like 10 years is a stretch.”
Here, Onew was asked about how much older of a woman he would date. He replied cautiously that he used to not have a limit, but his thoughts have changed now. He said, "Up to your early 20"s, I thought it was okay if she was even older by more than ten years. These days, I"ve come to think it might be hard if she"s ten years older. It"s hard to match up to her, isn"t it?"
Shin Dong Yup said oh-so-wisely, "The older you get, the age difference doesn"t seem to matter. It"s not weird when an 80-year-old is dating a 90-year-old, right?" making everyone laugh.
In a segment when they MCs were discussing about couples with big age gaps, Shin Dong Yup asked the two SHINee members that if there was a time when they feel the generation gaps within the group.
Regarding this quiestion, Taemin said,"I can feel the generation gaps clearly when the the hyungs talk about the old cartoons". Upon hearing that, he and Onew then reenacted an example situation.
Onew and Taemin also shared their opposite preferences on ideal types as Onew likes fox-type girls while Taemin thinks a calculating woman is not attractive at all.
The two members came upon this topic while discussing a female viewers story about feeling a generation gap with her boyfriend who is 12 years older than her. While discussing her concerns, MC Shin Dong Yeob asks, Are there times when you feel a generation gap within SHINee?
Taemin replies, I feel a generation gap when the older members talk about old comics. Then Onew shares the title of a specific comic and the two reenact the situation. This leads to Onew and the MCs reminiscing about past popular comics with Taemin feeling a generation gap once again.
The upcoming 95th episode will also include the members comments on their ideal types and reveal their polar opposite preferences. It will air on June 5 at 11 p.m. KST.
After appearing as a group on the recent broadcast of tvN"s "SNL Korea", SHINee members are taking turns to guest on more variety shows, first was Key on MBC"s "My Little Television" and now Onew and Taemin will be on "Witch Hunt".
