Get That K-Pop Look: Girls' Generation's Timeless Style In 'Lion Heart' Music Video

News via kpopstarz.com

Luckily for us, Girls" Generation has been serving up a few decades of fashion prowess with the group"s release of "Lion Heart." We"ve got everything from some flapper fringe dresses to the coiffed, Stepford Wife of the early 60s. So many of the outfits stand out, not just because they"re cute and colorful, but because it demonstrates how the best styles get recycled years later. The same silhouettes come bouncing back, with a little upgrade and a lot of panache.

One of the best examples of that is one of the looks in the music video for "Lion Heart," recently released from Girls" Generation. It"s a little look I like to call K-pop-inspired Astronaut Wife, and it"s easy to put together yourself.

Hats are getting more attention as far as head toppers go these days, which is exactly why it"s time to switch things up with a scarf that can double as a headband. There"s zero downside to this look. It requires minimal work and hides a bad hair day, doubles as a silky belt, and adds a little drama to an outfit that you think might be missing a little something.

Watch China’s viral music video that mimics PSY’s Gangnam Style

News via blog.koreaboo.com

Xiao Yang and Wang Taili, who team up as the Chopsticks Brothers, rose to fame when their 42-minute micro-film called Old Boys went viral after it was posted to the Youkou video portal site in 2010. The story of two struggling young musicians deeply touched a chord with the Chinese generation that grew up in the 1980s. When their micro-film got over 75 million views, Youkou decided to invest in making a feature film version with the Chopsticks Brothers. The path from micro-film to full-feature film has actually unleashed a revolutionary trend in the movie-making industry in China, and Chopsticks Brothers Xiao and Wang have seen their dream come true.

Heres the promotional MV, Little Apple, with Chopsticks Brothers. Its interesting to note that the story in the MV is more of a spoof on the movies plot about the two musicians traveling to New York to seek success. There is no explanation why some of the dialogue is in Korean. But dont worry, this MV is subbed in English.

Just like the craze for Korean musician Psys Gangnam Style, the fervor for Little Apple has also excited people to create imitation videos or perform flash dances using the catchy song with an upbeat tempo. Here are some really fun ones!
