(Photo : Loen ) IU portrays a spoiled diva in "Producer," but she continues to display a down-to-earth attitude, in real life. The solo vocalist and actress became the focus of attention by Korean netizens on Pann, for her thrifty wardrobe.
Fans discovered that one of her recent outfits consisted of a t-shirt that sold for around $13 USD, which was paired with sandals that had a retail value of approximately $36 USD. While they did not reveal the cost of the denim jumper she was wearing in the photos, it is apparent that her outfit consisted of items that could be easily attained by the general public.
According to Netizen Buzz, one of the top comments on Pann stated, "IU makes those clothes look like they are from luxury brands."
"Warm and Cozy" star Kang Sora also received attention for her economical clothing choices. In December 2014, she was the focus of both praise and confusion for wearing a $35 dress to the red carpet and during the ceremony of the Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA). MAMA is one of the preeminent music events for Korean pop, with screen stars in attendance to present the awards. The dress garnered enough attention to prompt a response from her agency. "It"s true that the HM dress Kang Sora wore to 2014 MAMA was $35 (39,000 KRW)," said a representative.
IU and her agency have yet to respond to the attention she is receiving for her wardrobe. She continues to deliver a solid performance as Cindy, a former child star and K-pop idol, in "Producer." Audiences are waiting with baited breath to discover if Baek Seung Chan (Kim Soo Hyun) Cindy over Tak Ye Jin (Gong Hyo Jin).

For these well-dressed celebrity siblings, having "good genes" is just as important as having "good jeans." Check out four pairs of K-pop brothers and sisters who prove that both talent and fashion sense run in the family.
(Photo : KpopStarz) It"s a no-brainer. This pair was born with a 20/20 eye for fashion and all things beautiful. Jessica and Krystal are blessed with more than just good looks and amazing vocal chops. The two also have exquisite tastes in style, although both have different preferences. Their personal fashion choices, as seen on airport and red carpet appearances, is always emulated by fans and praised by fashion enthusiasts.
The Jung sisters are also a favorite among various brands who"ve appointed them as ambassadors to model their products.
Sandara and Sanghyun (Thunder)
(Photo : ) Sandara and Thunder are one of K-pop"s most famous and well-loved sibling pairs. The two have very varied and broad choices in fashion and are mostly the types to go beyond the trends instead of just follow the norms.
They are known to be very eccentric style-wise and have gone crazy with their hairstyles at some point in their careers. In 2013 Thunder dyed his hair pink for MBLAQ"s promotions of "Smoky Girl" and in 2012 Dara received numerous compliments for her purple hair.
(Photo : ) BTOB"s Ilhoon and female solo artist Joo have different tastes in fashion but it works for both of them. As an idol, Ilhoon is more into the generic boy group member uniform which consists of leather jackets, muscle tees, studded pullovers, caps, and so on.
On the other hand Joo is more feminine and refined. However, when the sibs got together for their InStyle magazine pictorial they got the preppy look on point, and looked absolutely adorable.
(Photo : ) Although they are in different fields (Go Eun Ah is an actress while Mir is a singer) the two are still very close. Individually, the two have sported decent fashion choices.
Go Eun Ah is very ladylike and is confident enough to go for bold and risky outfits (such as that plunging neckline and low-back black dress she wore on the red carpet once). Go Eun Ah sports an enviable figure that makes her looks effortless good in anything she wears. Plus, she"s got this confidence to carry whatever she"s wearing with poise.
Little brother Mir prefers safer outfits with more neutral tones such as black, white, and gray.

As the very first month of comebacks for 2015 comes to a close, let"s take a look back at some of the fashion that stood out among the crowd!
SHINee"s Jonghyun helped set off 2015 with a bang after his massively successful solo debut! For the promotions for "Deja Boo", Jonghyun exhibited quite the number of snazzy suits all sultry toned and alluring just like his impressive vocal skills.
"Wiggle Wiggle" by Hello Venus
Despite the winter chill, Hello Venus made sure to bring the heat in their newest music video for "Wiggle Wiggle". Following their promotions for "Sticky Sticky", Hello Venus released their follow-up track, "Wiggle Wiggle". For their comeback, Hello Venus took a drastic turn and rocked strikingly short track outfits of various colors. These ladies definitely took the "sexy concept" to a whole new level.
G-Friend made quite the debut even though they were criticized for having their title track, "Glass Bead", sound a bit similar to Girls" Generation"s debut track, "Into the New World". However, this did not stop the girls from making a strong yet refreshing debut. Their fashion followed a theme of a fresh spring day shared by a close group of friends. G-Friend"s debut was a breath of fresh air among the intense January comebacks.
For the highly anticipated comeback of NineMuses, the ladies went for theater chic for their newest concept. NineMuses does very well when it comes to executing a sexy and glamorous style and "Drama" was no exception to this rule. While there was an overall theatrical theme to the music video, the ladies also showcases hints of burlesque in one scene while the other had a more colorful and vibrant casual tone. NineMuses" two newest members, Sojin and Keumjo also proved that they have their own charms and blend in with the seven ladies fabulously.
"Child in Time" by Sunny Hill
While many of the comebacks this month held your regular music video chock full of eye-catching fashion, sexiness, and dance numbers, Sunny Hill returned with emotionally moving story line of a hardworking women that travels back in time to rediscover her happiness. Aside from embellished school uniforms, Sunny Hill"s JuBee set the bar for trendy office work not only in the music video for "Child in Time" but even alongside other fellow members in their previous comeback, "Monday Blues". These ladies sure know how to dress!
The Jackie Chan produced group is back again with their title track, "Fire" and has brought quite the concept that"s not seen every day in the world of K-pop. Once you take a look at the music video for "Fire" be prepared to ask yourself, "Have you ever seen such attractive mechanics?" That"s right! Aside from their other appearances wearing hip-hop street wear, the boys JJCC donned uniforms of a car mechanics. Though he would have like to see more of the sexy mechanic style throughout the video, their sports car masterpiece helped speed them to this month"s Best Dressed for the first month of 2015!
Infinite-H returned legal style for their comeback track, "Pretty". In the classic black and white themed music video Hoya took on the role of a prosecutor while Dongwoo went lawyer chic. In various part of the music video, the H boys took a break from the chic patterned and went for an array of colors wore over by college letterman style jackets and bandannas. Despite the two different themes, Infinite H knew just how to pull it off.
As a pre-release for their upcoming comeback, 4Minute released the track "Cold Rain" with fashion that"s all to befitting of the title. For the music video, the five ladies easily secured first place for the dark and lovely theme. Each members outfit helped accentuate the figures of the member while remaining classy and alluring. 4Minute previously did a similar theme in the past for their track "Volume Up"; however, "Cold Rain" went for a more sensual version of the look. 4Minute definitely gave something to the fans to gawk at until their official comeback with "Crazy" drops in February!
Whose comeback are you anticipating next month?
Last December of 2013, EXO graced us with their mellow yet powerful voices for their special Christmas album "Miracles in December". This Winter they have returned with their new Christmas tune, "December, 2014" and with it they bring a new winter flare! Though no official music video was released, the fashion for their live performances was complete with classic Christmas sweaters that matched the fluffy white snow outside and voices as warm as a chimney.
It was a long wait for the return of hip-hop and soul trio MFBTY but nonetheless Yoon Mi Rae, Tiger JK, and Bizzy did not disappoint their fans with their latest track, "Angel". Both Tiger JK and Yoon Mi Rae went for dramatic hairstyles yet executed them beautifully. The couple rocked match long and curly locks as well as Yoon Mi Rae"s braided ponytails, blonde hair, and long stright chic style. Bizzy himself stuck to his casual style with charisma and sleekness even during the boxing scene of the music video.
The boys of BTOB kept up with the holiday spirit with their Christmas themed music video, "You Can Cry". The video was filled with vibrant colors and brilliant Christmas gear. BTOB definitely went all out when it came to props having gotten their hands on balloons, Christmas decorations, trinkets, and even dolls!
SONAMOO is freshly debuted in the K-pop scene with their newly released track, "Deja Vu". Their debut fashion consists of street wear that seemed to combine with army and the classic all-black look. Though there has been similar style like this previously done before, SONAMOO"s fashion choice was a great contrast to all of the holiday centered December comeback specials.
Teen Top was the epitome of Christmas spirit this December in the music video for "Snow Kiss". Teen Top sported bold Christmas sweaters complete with Santa hats and reindeer antlers on their heads. Teen Top did a special self-film for their music video making their small Christmas more realistic for the fans.
"Heartbeat" by Infinite F
Infinite sub-unit, Infinite F, also veered away from the common Christmas theme this December with their newest hit, "Heartbeat". The three boys took on a fresh and almost Spring time like look for their music video. With their sweet voices and innocent attire, Infinite F was able to bring some much needed warmth to this frosty December.
"Love is You" by Starship Planet
For the special release put on by the resident powerhouses of Starship, Sistar, K.Will, and Boyfriend have come together for their own holiday track, "Love is You". Though the track was released keeping the holidays in mind, their fashion choice was something that could be seen wearing anytime of the year; except Summer given the sweaters of course. Sistar"s Bora was looking especially in character taking on the role of the weather girl!
Eric Nam melted our heart with his adorable baby clips in his music video for "Melt Me" but he also kept his fresh and baby like innocence with his style choice. During the music video, Eric Nam barely switches between a light gray beige sweater and a classic holiday red sweater. Though the choices are different, it"s quite hard to pick which one is the best!
"Come Here" by Masta Wu, Bobby,Dok2
For the second unit of YG"s Hip-Hop Project, Masta Wu, Bobby and Illionaire"s Dok2 came together for the track "Come Here". The three remained true to YG"s hip-hop style when it came to their fashion in the "Come Here" music video. High top sneakers while done up in the signature black, white, and gold combination. It"s not often that we see fully masked rappers in music videos!
This month was all about holiday celebrations in music videos but once January hits, it will be a whole new year of comebacks and debuts featuring fashion that will soon be the talk of the industry. Let"s look forward to seeing what fashion 2015 has in store for K-pop!
It was another good year in fashion and comebacks in the world of K-pop! As we come to a close on the intense year of 2014, let"s take a look back at some of the best fashion this past year. Enjoy!
January- "Something" by TVXQ
In honor of their 10th Anniversary, the legendary boys of TVXQ released the album "TENSE" filled with various styles of hit music. Their title song "Something" not only featured a big band sound, but also some pretty fashion wardrobe equipped with strings for a spectacular dance performance. TVXQ easily took the cake for fashion and dance in January!
February - "Mr. Mr." by Girls Generation
Girls Generation had us waiting a full year between their "I Got A Boy" album until they released their "Mr. Mr." EP this past February. The ladies went for a dramatic change from the "I Got A Boy" street style to the doctor look complete with stethoscopes, masks, and dazzling pink lab coats.
March - "Catallena" by Orange Caramel
The trio of Orange Caramel never cease to amaze us with their funky, colorful and sometimes a bit strange fashion. The music video for "Catallena" as well as their live promotions featured quite the array of costumes. While the music video was styled after sushi, their lives went so far as to dress up as hamburgers!
It was but a short four months since "Miracles in December" that EXO release the intense and powerful dance track, "Overdose". There were quite a few shifts in attire throughout the music video including hip-hop, suit, and even what some fans refer to as the "tablecloth shirts". The looks were accompanied by thick dark eye make-up and classy yet messily styled hair complete with gel. It was no wonder we overdosed!
May - "200%" by Akdong Musician
Just in time for the refreshing transition from Spring to Summer, Akdong Musician released the addicting track, "200%". The duo went for the classic school time look as well as a comfortable and casual vibrantly patterned attire for other shots.
June - "Eyes, Nose, Lips" by Taeyang
It hard to say that Taeyang"s takes the cake for best dressed in June because he simply didn"t have as many clothes on; however, with the clothes he did have on, he flaunted perfectly. In nothing but a beanie, leather pants and a gold chain, Taeyang can rock anything and nothing!
July - "H.E.R" by Block Band "Back Seat" by JYJ
There were a number of upscale comeback in July including Jay Park, Boys Republic, Sistar, f(x) and tons more but two groups took the cake for the concepts that stood out the most and veered away from the usual. These two concepts are also on two opposite sides of the spectrum from one another. JYJ went for pure unadulterated sexiness for their "Back Seat" comeback. The boys even showed some skin while Block B"s music video for "H.E.R" was nothing but bright colors and excitement!
August - "MAMACITA" by Super Junior
Super Junior made a strong return in August with the massively popular RB track, "MAMACITA". The music video was one of the few K-pop videos to feature a western theme complete with old time barber shops, banks, and saloons. Super Junior went all out in old west gear sporting mustaches, ponchos, and pinstripes!
September - "Go Crazy" by 2PM
Fans all over went crazy with the epic return of 2PM and their hilarious music video for "Go Crazy". Staying true to their forever quirky personalities, 2PM presented to us not only a playful dance but some rather odd yet completely befitting fashion. Each donned an entirely different look from a regular T-shirts and pants, to sweatshirts all the way to head-to-toes patterned suits. Definitely the 2PM style!
VIXX went full on android for the their "Error" music video. Rather than staying with the creepy style that VIXX is known for, the boys went for a slight change and opted for a more futuristic approach. Aside from their robotic side, VIXX also showcased the chic contrast of black and white for their dance cuts.
November - "Piano Man" by MAMAMOO and "Good Boy" by GD x Taeyang
There were two competitors for fashion when it came to November. YG released the track "Good Boy" from their first Hip-Hop Project unit GD x TAEYANG. The duo stuck to their usual hip-hip style but with some added neon flare. The scene featured a popular club scene with dancers all around. On the other hand; however, MAMAMOO went for the a the classic "Singing in the Rain" style complete with big band and piano club. The generation gap in terms of style and attire is quite apparent and yet unique.
December - "Angel" by MFBTY
MFBTY made their comeback since their last track "Sweet Dream" back in Janurary of 2013. Their newest track "Angel" featured a style that was all about hair, hair, and more hair. During the duration of the video, Yoon Mi Rae had quite the number of hairstyles including short and blonde, long and straight, long and braided, and even pigtails! Tiger JK flaunted his royal mane with long flowing lock while Bizzy stuck with the traditional gelled look.
Overall, it was a pretty good year when it comes to fashion in K-pop. Let"s expect to see even more dramatic, eye-popping, awestriking fashion in 2015!

Zico made a controversial comeback with his most recent track, "Tough Cookie" featuring Don Mills. However, Zico stuck to his signature street style throughh different forms in the music video. One might even argue that his bathtub full of chocolate chip cookies is apart of his "attire".
AOA made strong comeback in the first half of November with their sexy theme title track, Like a Cat. The music video two alluring looks including the red-coat look and the sleek all black style. The all black style is the most befitting for the track as the ladies are suiting up in a look that even Catwoman would acknowledge.
Im Different by HI SUHYUN
YG surprised us with the collaboration subunit of HI SUHYUN this November and aside from Bobby, the MV also featured a natural school look that suits that girls more than well. While HI SUHYUN is given the school uniform style, Bobby goes for a more casual and comfortable jeans and T-shirt look. Though the clothing is relatively easy and laid back, it still fits the playfulness of the music video.
Im Not A Boy, Not Yet A Man by Cross Gene
Cross Gene graced us with their comeback in early November with Im Not A Boy, Not Yet a Man. The video featured an all-white look for the sharp dance scenes while the boys donned chic sweater and blazer pieces for a classy contrast.

Erase by Hyorin and JooYoung
Similar to Nicoles MAMA music video, the color scheme for Erase was kept very neutral the difference being the formal yet sexy attire during Hyorin and JooYoungs dance scenes. The color scheme fits well with the melodramatic tint to the song, Erase.
From My Heart by 5urprise
Actor-idol group, 5urprise, made their return in November with From My Heart. The MV showcased a two very different themes including, chic circus performers and fashionable country boys. Which do you prefer?
Real Talk by Boys Republic
The boys of Boys Republic battled themselves in an epic dance the their comeback track, Real Talk. While one side battled in the classic suit and tie, the others took on a modern spin of 18th Century get-up. Talk about a blast form the past!

Though the video does even out for various white-against-white shots to ease the eyes.
"Good Night Like Yesterday" by Lovelyz
Woolims newest girl group, despite the controversy surrounding member Ji Soo, made a successful debut with Good Night Like Yesterday. The style of their clothing is reminiscent of A-Pink is some ways with a mix of Lee His Rose. Overall, it combines soft and mellow with intense and sharp.
One of the more unique girl groups with their jazzy flare, MAMAMOO, mad their comeback with Piano Man featuring elements of the 20th Century fashion in the music video.
