Will YG Entertainment Extend G-Dragon's Solo Concert? Fans Clamor For More Concert Dates As Seoul World Cup Stadium Sells Out In 8 Minutes
After BIG BANG leader G-Dragon successfully sold out all 65,000 seats of the Seoul World Cup Stadium in just 8 minutes, many fans are still looking for tickets. It seems that G-Dragon’s third solo concert is one of the most anticipated concert events of the year but it may be up to YG whether they will give in to fan clamor for more tickets.
Fans of G-Dragon are hoping that YG Entertainment will announce a second night for the much-anticipated solo concert entitled Act III: MOTTE or Mother’s Womb. While it did not come as a huge shock that the concert would be sold out, it was amazing how quickly fans sold out all available tickets in such a short amount of time.
It can be recalled a few weeks ago that reports hinted that YG Entertainment was in the planning stages for G-Dragon’s solo concert according to a YG insider. A week days later, both YG and G-Dragon confirmed the date and title of the concert on their official social media accounts along with the time and date that the tickets would go on sale, Soompi reported.
Save for a couple of posts on G-Dragon’s Instagram, YG did not widely promote the concert, releasing only minimal information about the event in a bid to surprise fans about the contents of G-Dragon’s upcoming solo album. Still, it was expected for fans to be excited about the BIG BANG leader’s solo concert since they last saw him perform with BIG BANG for the MADE tour early this year before T.O.P. enlisted for mandatory service, Kpopstarz reported.
The last time that G-Dragon held a solo concert was way back in 2009 for his “Heartbreaker” album for a concert entitled “Shine a Light.” His concert “One of a Kind” for his “Coup d’Etat” album was way back in 2013. Fans are also expecting that the BIG BANG leader will also receive his enlistment date within the second half of this year or in the first half of 2018.
