“Dae Jang Geum 2″ producer confirmed, now awaiting Lee Young-ae

MBC drama "Dae Jang Geum 2" is putting together the final pieces.

According to resources, the producer of "Dae Jang Geum 2" is Kim Geun-hong. He's particpated in "Guam Heo Jun", "Queen Seon-deok", "Jumong" and other great historical dramas.

"Dae Jang Geum 2" is now waiting for Lee Young-ae's response. Initially, she had wished to work together with the crew of "Dae Jang Geum" especially because Jang-geum becomes a mother of a daughter and likewise Lee Young-ae, who is a mother of two.

Lee Young-ae hasn't showed a clear sign of starring in the drama but others are saying she will do it. A resource said, "We are leaning towards her agreement". Jang Geun-soo, the chief of department of drama said, "We are still discussing things with Lee Young-ae with the first episode coming up in October"

Hyun Bin’s Film Heading To America

“The Fatal Encounter,” also known as “The King’s Wrath,” will soon be seen on American theater screens. The highly anticipated period film will be released in 25 North American theaters on May 23rd.
The film will introduce American audiences to Hallyu star Hyun Bin. North American drama lovers already know the actor from his roles in “My Lovely Kim Sam Soon,” “Secret Garden,” and “Worlds Within.”

“The Fatal Encounter” is a Joseon-era historical drama based on the real-life assassination attempt on King Jeong Jo, the 22nd ruler in the Joseon Dynasty. Hyun Bin plays King Jeong Jo, a ruler who has been nicknamed the King of Misfortune. First he sees his father executed by a decree from his grandfather. Then he gets caught in a fierce political battle between two rivaling political factions

On Wednesday it was announced that Jo Kwon, frontman of the K-pop boy band 2AM, will get a chance to show his dramatic range this summer with a lead role in a Seoul production of the popular musical "Priscilla, Queen of the Desert."

Kim Hyun Joong Admits To Dating Secretly

Kim Hyun Joong has been doing a lot of talking about dating lately but he"s not giving up any names. Nor is he likely to.

In a recent interview with Newsen, he confessed that he has dated in secret and he would never go public with a relationship.

"If I say I don"t date, that would be a lie. I dated in secret a year ago, but I am not dating currently," said the singer and "Inspiring Generation" star.

If he really cared for someone he would not want to expose that person to media scrutiny or tarnish her reputation in any way.

"I noticed that when people date publicly and breakup, it"s usually the woman who suffers for it," he said. "I don"t think there"s any need for a woman who may later marry someone else to have the title of my woman following them

2AM’s Jo Kwon Set to Make Musical Return

2AM member Jo Kwon is set to star in “Priscilla”, a musical adaptation of the hit movie “The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert.

A spokesperson for Seol&Company, the production group behind the musical, confirmed the news, saying, “Jo Kwon will be appearing in ‘Priscilla’ from July 3, at the LG Arts Center in Seoul.”

The comedy musical tells the tale of three cross-dressing men who take a life-changing journey together across the Australian outback. Among the musical numbers included are versions of hit songs from the 1980s and 1990s, originally performed by artists such as Madonna and Cyndi Lauper.

Jo Kwon will play the role of Adam, one of the three male leads. Adam, a cheeky troublemaker, was portrayed by actor Guy Pearce in the original Australian movie, released in 1994

In a recent interview with Newsen, Kim Hyun Joong was asked about marriage given that he is in his late twenties. He shared that marriage might not be in the cards for him, "I don"t think I will be able to... I have to go to the military and if I do other things, I will be over 35 years old... In the past, I thought that I really have to [get married someday] but now I don"t have confidence. I love work so much so I don"t think I will be able to be faithful to my family. If a dilemma suddenly comes about in my drama, singing, and concerts one day, then I think I will do it."


He was also asked about his love life to which he honesty remarked, "If I say I don"t date, that would be a lie

The still cuts show Lee Min Jung and Joo Sang Wook enjoying a romantic bench date at Seonyudo Park, displaying how sweet making up can be. The atmosphere behind-the-scenes was just as lively as everyone seemed to be full of laughs and have gotten close throughout the three months of filming the drama.


The drama"s production company rep commented, "With only two episodes left, the actors don"t show signs of exhaustion, and are showing their fire of passion and working hard... We will do our best until the finale and we will show the happiness on set through "Cunning Single Lady"
