K-Pop girl group Girls" Generation shared how happy they were to promote alongside with their rival group 2NE1. During the group"s recent backstage interview on "Music Bank" on March 7, Girls" Generation shared "Our promotions are overlapping for the first time in a while so it"s fun and pleasant."
Tiffany and Seohyun said, "During Girls" Generation and 2NE1"s early years, girl groups were not that common... Now that we get to promote together, we feel proud and good to show girl power in the K-Pop scene." Seohyun gave her opinion saying, "2NE1"s color is totally different from ours... It is fun to watch 2NE1"s stage. We also plan to definitely watch 2NE1"s stage... Rather than competing with other girl groups, we will naturally show our sunbae image... Although there is a sense of responsibility and pressure, I think that we can grow because of that
SHINee’s Minho was missing in action from his usual MC position at today’s Music Core 400th Episode Special.
Co-MC Kim So Hyun revealed on the March 8 episode of the music show that Minho “was unable to participate because of SHINee’s concert.” SHINee’s two-day “SHINee World III” concert in Seoul began on March 8, with a second concert to be held on March 9.
Previous MCs Yuri and Tiffany of Girls’ Generation dropped by to cover for Minho, hosting the show alongside Kim So Hyun and Noh Hong Chul. Minho did however appear on the special episode, performing a special cover of Chuli and Miae’s “Why Do You?” with Kim So Hyun
MBC‘s music show, “Music Core” will air its 400th episode today on March 8.
“Music Core” aired its first episode on October 29, 2005, and has gone 399 episodes since then. To celebrate this special event, the show will several special stages.
MCs of the show, SHINee‘s Minho and actress Kim So Hyun will throw it back to the 90s with a special cover of Chuli and Miae‘s “Why Do You?” To help them host the show, Girls’ Generation‘s Yuri and Tiffany will be the special guest hosts.

On March 5th, it was confirmed that Girls’ Generation will be performing a total of three tracks throughout their promotional activities this week. They will be performing “Mr.Mr.” and “Wait a Minute” on “M! Countdown” on March 8th, and “Mr.Mr.” and “Back Hug” on “Music Bank” and “Inkigayo.”
Meanwhile, it was also announced that Girls’ Generation will be performing with male back-up dancers for their comeback performances, which is a first since their debut.
