These Popular Idols Were Once Rejected JYP Entertainment

Before finding their homes in their current companies, these several well known singers and idols were rejected by JYP Entertainment.

Despite being big names in the K-Pop world, these singers and idols faced complications on their road to debut. Before finding their homes in their current companies and reaching stardom, they actually originally auditioned for JYP Entertainment, and were ultimately rejected.

While it may seem like a shock that these amazing talents would be turned down, its safe to say that everything worked out in the end.

Check out five celebrities that were rejected by JYP Entertainment below:

Before debuting with the popular idol group BTS, J-Hope auditioned for JYP Entertainment in 2009. While he was not offered a contract, in the end, his dreams did not end there, and he became an official trainee for Bit Hit Entertainment in 2010 and debuted three years later.

The line up of EXO could have been entirely different had Xiumin been accepted as a trainee for JYP Entertainment when he auditioned in 2008. Fortunately for Xiumin, that didnt mark the end of his career as he was casted to S.M. Entertainment after participating in the  S.M.’s Everysing Contest in the same year.

Dean is one of the most well-known solo artists at the moment.  However, before making his debut as a solo artist, he was actually rejected by JYP Entertainment. Dean auditioned for JYP Entertainment when he was only 17 years old, but was rejected and a year later began writing songs for K-Pop acts such as EXO and VIXX.

AOAs Choa revealed that she auditioned for S.M. Entertainment 15 times. However, this idol was also rejected by JYP Entertainment. Despite being rejected, she was accepted as a trainee for FNC Entertainment and debuted in 2012.

Before being one of the most well known and successful solo singers, IU was on a very bumpy road to stardom.  The singer had 20 auditions, including JYP over the course of two years.  Fortunately for her, in 2007 she signed a contract with Loen Entertainment and debuted in 2008. Park Jin Young revealed several years ago that he regrets that this decision was made as she is full of charms and talent.
