T.O.P’s label-mate at YG Entertainment Se7en recently expressed his support for the BIGBANG member. An Instagram post was uploaded by Se7en on Wednesday, June 7.
As reported by All Kpop, T.O.P’s label-mate Se7en uploaded a picture in support for the BIGBANG member on June 7. T.O.P is currently at the Ewha Woman’s University Mokdong Hospital after overdosing of his medicine.
Se7en’s Instagram photo featured a heart-shaped artwork that looks like it was made of recycled paper. Se7en captioned the photo with the simple hashtag “#StayStrongTOP”.
The hashtag “#StayStrongTOP” also trended worldwide on Twitter the same day. K-pop fans from all over the world and from difference fandoms united in hopes of T.O.P’s recovery.
Fans of both Se7en and T.O.P have expressed their love for Se7en for his wishes of well-being for the BIGBANG member. “Thank you. You’re such a great sunbae/hyun,” wrote one fan.
T.O.P was rushed into the Ewha Woman’s University Mokdong Hospital’s intensive care unit on the evening of June 6 after he was found unconscious at his military base. Reports allegedly revealed that T.O.P overdosed of his medicine.
The next day, June 7, doctors of the idol held a press conference to update T.O.P’s fans, and the public as well. According to Soompi, the doctors confirmed that T.O.P did overdose of his medicine “benzodiazepine”.
“Benzodiazepine” is a type of tranquilizer. T.O.P regularly takes the medicine for his anxiety disorder and helps him sleep better at night.
Also, when T.O.P arrived at the hospital, his blood cells were low on oxygen and had high concentrations of carbon dioxide, which is a major factor of having brain damage. It is unclear, however, if the idol has suffered such.
Prior to him overdosing, T.O.P was not seen in public for 4 days. Peers of the idol said that T.O.P only eats instant ramen cups for his daily meals.
Also, aside from regularly going to the police station for his responsibilities, T.O.P never leaves his dormitory inside the military base. There is no news of T.O.P waking up and recovering as of this writing.
