TVXQ rakes in over $92 million in overseas concert revenues

Why do K-pop groups keep going to Japan for promotions? Well, the answer is quite simple: because promoting in Japan is very lucrative. Take TVXQ for example. TVXQ will be continuing onward with their 5-dome tour in Japan until mid-August. In all, they will perform 18 times in front of an audience of 850,000 people. At an average cost of 120,000 KRW (approximately $109 USD) per ticket, the revenue from all the tickets sold will add up to 102,000,000,000 KRW (approximately $92.6 million USD)

A world-class choreographer for Usher and Michael Jackson will work on SHINee’s new album

World-famous choreographer Devin Jamieson will work on Korean group SHINee’s third album. On April 24, the group’s agency, SM Entertainment, announced that the unique choreography will appear in the lead track of chapter two of the group’s third album, “Why So Serious?”   Jamieson has participated in the production of many albums for such global pop stars as Michael Jackson, Usher, Britney Spears, and Hilary Duff and now takes charge of the choreography for SHINee’s album

On March 12, our girls from f(x) performed on a special stage to represent the broad and diverse spectrum of K-Pop genres at the SXSW- South by Southwest Music Festival in Austin, Texas! Fighting, f(x)!  On twitter, Amber updated fans with a photo of Victoria, Luna, Krystal, Amber and Sulli huddled together in a van making cute faces at the camera while holding up promotional material from the festival. It′s Jonghyun′s turn this time to tease for SHINee′s impending comeback.On February 9, SM Entertainment released teaser photos for Jonghyun, to follow the photos of Key and Taemin, through its SM Town global Twitter account, Facebook page and Weibo account. SHINee to Chat with Fans on Google+ Hangout Today

SHINee will be chatting up its international dream girls today, March 8, in a Google+ Hangout event. SHINee announced it would be participating in A-Pop Star Week’s Google+ Hangout launch event, where it would be video chatting with a few lucky fans from all around the world, via SM Town’s official YouTube channel last month. Following fan submissions, nine lucky winners have been selected to chat directly with SHINee on Google+ Hangout. A number of fans have also been invited to see the idol group in person at the Incheon International Airport CGV as they chat with foreign fans
