Lee Hyori's boyfriend Lee Sang Soon is the envy of fans around the world. Yet, the star says, Lee Sang Soon has a crush on the singer Bora from the group SISTAR.
"[Lee Sang Soon] never really knew any idol singers before he met me," Lee Hyori said Friday on the Seoul Broadcasting System talk show "Thank You."
"Now he watches various music programs, in which he started to like SISTAR...within the members. He likes Bora the best."
Lee Hyori also described Lee Sang Soon's habit of critiquing the other female performers he watches to the amusement of his superstar girlfriend.
The other guests on "Thank You" couldn't believe what they were hearing.
"The fact that Lee Hyori is jealous of Bora is too cute," one guest remarked.
"Lee Sang Soon must be some guy for the almighty Lee Hyori to be jealous," remarked another.
"I can't believe that his girlfriend is none other than Lee Hyori but he has a crush on an idol!"
The couple will hopefully have some time to work out any jealousy issues during Lee Hyori's upcoming hiatus.
The queen of the "Bad Girls" took to Twitter on Monday to announce that she is taking some time off from what has been a grueling schedule promoting her fifth album "Monochrome."
What sparked this impromptu vacation? She feels like it.
"The reason why I'm resting for a while? Because I want to rest," Lee tweeted. There's no other reason. Why is everyone asking about the reason?"
The singer's label B2M Entertainment told CJ EM enewsWorld on Monday that the Lee had originally only planned to do two weeks of promotion for her new record.
The star returned to the music world after a three-year hiatus on May 22, with her comeback special entitled the "2Hiyori Show."
The day before, Monochrome was released.
And it seems Lee might be ready for another break from the limelight.
The star broke down in tears in the "Thank You" interview when recalling her rebellious youth.
"I always did what I wanted to do, then I became a problem child," the singer said.
"It happened because I was dying my hair and dancing. I thought, 'Am I causing problems? Do I have problems?' and I came to the conclusion that there was a problem with society for wanting the same standards from everyone."
