‘Show! Music Core’ and ‘Inkigayo’ discussing Wanna One appearance

Wanna Onemay not be on the main broadcasting systems’ music shows this week.

IOIhad the same problem as a group made from Mnet, where they could not immediately appear on ‘Music Bank’, ‘Show! Music Core’, and ‘Inkigayo’. The three main broadcasting systems of Korea are KBS, MBC, and SBS, and because IOI and Wanna One were born from Mnet, a cable channel, they were not immediately welcomed to the shows to perform.

KBS’s ‘Music Bank’ will be on hiatus this week, but currently, Wanna One is not scheduled for ‘Show! Music Core’ and ‘Inkigayo’.

‘Show! Music Core’s PD explained, “Actually, Wanna One did not request to be on ‘Show! Music Core’ this week. The stages are made of teams who have requested their appearance. As Wanna One did not request a debut stage, and there was nothing about casting, it’s not correct to say their appearance was canceled. Wanna One said they cannot appear this week because of other schedules, so we are talking about them appearing next week.”

SBS said, “The casting rights go to the PD. We talk to the labels every week to determine the lineup. This week’s lineup has not been determined yet. Wanna One is also still under discussion.”
