SHINees Jonghyun and Girls Generations Taeyeon are set to light up the stage with a beautiful duet.
Jonghyun is set to appear on KBS 2TVs Yoo Hee Yeols Sketchbook to mark his return as a solo artist for the first time in two years.
During the show, he was asked about his talents as a lyricist, with his lyrics being praised by music-lovers and poets alike. Jonghyun revealed that the secret to his skills was reading. He said, I read two books a week. When I have overseas activities, one section of my luggage is dedicated to books. The idol proceeded to gift Yoo Hee Yeol with a copy of Skeleton Flower, his first novel that was released in 2015. He even revealed that he is currently conceptualizing the plot of a thriller novel.
On his latest album, Story Op.2, Jonghyun said, The new album is one that has a black and white tone and reflects the analogue emotions I have.
To perform the title track Lonely, Jonghyun was joined by the songs original feature artist and muse, Girls Generations Taeyeon. He explained, I wrote the song with Taeyeon in mind and wanted to reflect her bright but gloomy personality. Taeyeon confessed, I thought it would be a complicated song, but it was easy to listen to and I really liked it.
Jonghyun revealed that to thank her for featuring in his song, he gifted Taeyeon with some Gongjindan, a traditional multi-herbal medicine. Taeyeon added, Thanks to him, I wake up in the morning so full of energy.
SHINees Jonghyun and Girls Generations Taeyeon will be appearing on Yoo Hee Yeols Sketchbook at midnight on May 13.
