“Ohlala Couple”, the new KBS drama that’s causing a sensation for the Monday/Tuesday primetime slot, has revealed comic still photos from the set.
Did you wonder what it’s like behind the scenes of the drama that has emerged as one of the best for the second half of this year? Word has it that there were plenty of NG cuts because the actors could not stop laughing.
In the second episode of “Ohlala Couple”, Go Su-nam(played by Shin Hyun-jun) runs into Na Yeo-ok(played by Kim Jung-eun) at the jewelry store. Because of a cruel joke played on them by an old man and a shaman, Su-nam and Yeo-ok’s rings are switched. Upon discovering this fact, Su-nam runs after Yeo-ok and is able to escape the jewelry store just in the nick of time before the store is struck by lightning and collapses.
The scene was shot through blue-screen and special effects. However, Shin Hyun-jun throwing himself into the action kept the staff members and everyone on set laughing. His facial expression when the explosion occurred also made the audience laugh.
Also, the two meeting after their body changed at the end of episode two is said to have kept the staff members laughing throughout filming. When the two meet for the first time Kim Jung-eun is so surprised that she falls flat on her bottom, but she was so funny that the staff members had to clamp down on their mouths to keep themselves from laughing and avoiding NG takes. So, there’s a rumor that the number one requirement to be a staff member of the drama is to be able to refrain from laughing.
Starting next week, “Ohlala Couple” will focus on life after the body change. Go Su-nam will be a housewife while Na Yeo-ok will be going to work at the hotel and facing off with Victoria (played by Han Chae-ah). The scenes are expected to bring more laughter to viewers.
The well-made comedy “Ohlala Couple” is about a married couple whose soul switches the day they sign their divorce papers. The drama airs every Mondays and Tuesdays at 9:55 p.m. on KBS2TV.
