Shinhwa Shines a Light on 16 Years at ′Here′ Concert

The brightly lit up stadium full of orange was wonder in itself.

Compared to the stars that spark up shortly before disappearing in this competitive entertainment industry, Shinhwa, the longest running idol group who has kept its place on top for 16 years, has stayed constant. Or rather, Shinhwa was maturing with the flow of time, writing its own shinhwa (legend).

On March 23, Shinhwa held its 2014 Shinhwa 16th Anniversary Concert – HERE at the Olympic Park Gymnastics Stadium. With both performances on March 22 and 23, a total of 27,000 fans appeared for the group, boasting that it hasn’t lost it yet.

The concert opened up with Scarface from Shinhwa’s 11th album, released in 2013, continuing with Venus and Brand New, turning up the heat from the way beginning. Especially with Brand New being the song that won Shinhwa the highest award at the 2004 Seoul Music Awards, fans exploded when the song began to play, with around 14,000 fans singing along

Lee Min Woo reveals what Shinhwa members are up to lately

In the broadcast of MBC's "Radio Stars" on February 26th, Lee Min Woo made a guest appearance along with Hong Ji Gyeong, Park Hwi Sun, Yoon Hyung Bin and Gain.

The MC asked Min Woo what have Shinhwa members been doing these days, to this he answered,"We're all having our good times".

He then added,"Eric is having a hobby of collecting knives these days. Dongwan recently had a long trip to Canada". Following he said,"Junjin is enjoying drinking" and then made a drinking gesture which made everyone laugh. For Shin Hye Sung, he said,"He's supposed to prepare for a new album but he's just into screen golf and baseball"

Also during the show, Lee Min Woo also mentioned that he wants to date a non-celebrity girl.

Lee Min Woo Reveals Shinhwa Members’ New Hobbies Involving Swords and Screen Golf

Regarding the group’s break from the stage, Shinhwa’s Lee Min Woo shared what the other members have been doing.

On February 26, Lee Min Woo appeared as a guest on MBC’s Radio Star, where he was asked what the other Shinhwa members were doing.

“We’re all enjoying our own time,” said Lee Min Woo.

“Eric is currently into collecting swords. Dong Wan recently took a long break to Canada,,” said Lee Min Woo. For Jun Jin, Lee Min Woo made a drinking action, making the MCs laugh. "He′s been thinking a lot about how to make Shinhwa better."

MC Yoon Jong Shin mentioned that it seems like Shin Hye Sung is prepare for a new album.

“He’s supposed to be preparing for a new album, but instead, he’s currently obsessed with screen golf and baseball

Andy not to perform at Shinhwa’s 16th anniversary concert in March

In celebration of their 16th anniversary, legendary group Shinhwa will be holding a spceial concert in March.

Due to the recent controversy related to his illegal online gambling, member Andy will not be joining his group in the upcoming concert.

In 2013, Shinhwa had successfully released their 11th album “This Love” as well as earning a lot of love with their variety show “Shinhwa Broadcast Season 2” on JTBC.

The members expressed, “We are so thankful to the fans who have been with us for the last 16 years, and we promise to work even harder and show everyone an amazing show in March at our 16th anniversary concert. Also, we don’t know when our 12th album will be released, but we will do our best with it, and we will not disappoint our fans

Shinhwa to Hold March Concert Sans Andy

Bringing good news along with the bad, Shinhwa announced that it will be having its annual March concerts again in 2014, but without Andy.

On January 24, Shinhwa stated in a press release, “As a promise made with fans, we will be having our March concert in this year as well.”

However, with Andy involved in illegal gambling issues in 2013, it was decided that he will not participate in this upcoming concert to show that he is self-reflecting on his actions.

This coming March concert will mark Shinhwa’s 16th anniversary, and the remaining five members will stand on stage.

“We want to sincerely thank the fans for sending so much love to Shinhwa in the past 16 years and we promise to work harder and show more charismatic sides during the 16th anniversary concert,” said Shinhwa

Shinhwa’s Kim Dong Wan, Lee Min Woo, and Shin Hye Sung Reveal BTS of Season’s Greeting Shoot

With 2014 kicked off to a good start, Shinhwa’s Kim Dong Wan, Lee Min Woo, and Shin Hye Sung unveiled some behind-the-scenes footage of the photoshoot for their 2014 calendar.

On January 16, LiveWorks Company released a video of the three Shinhwa members creating the 2014 calendar.

In the videos, the Shinhwa members hoped that fans will join them every month of the year and promised to be cheering them on as the year goes by.

Shinhwa to Release 15 Year Anniversary Concert DVD on December 13

Group Shinhwa will be releasing their 15th anniversary concert DVD today.

Shinhwa, who held their 15th anniversary concert this past March, will be releasing the DVD for it today.

This concert sold out of their 25,000 seat concert in minutes and showed their amazing ticket power.

This DVD will include 27 of their hit songs as well as behind the scenes from their concert.

A 112 page photo book will also be included as well as a key ring. This DVD set will be something every Shinhwa fan will enjoy.

On the other hand, Lee Min Woo and Shin Hye Sung will be holding end of the year concerts and Kim Dong Wan will be busy with his musical

Shinhwa Apologizes on Behalf of Member Andy for His Illegal Gambling Charges

Shinhwa showed how 15 years together has created a loyal bond between the six members. Through their variety show, “Shinhwa Broadcast,” the group released an official apology in regards to fellow member Andy’s recent scandal.

On December 8’s episode of JTBC’s “Shinhwa Broadcast,” four members of Shinhwa made an official apology in regards to Andy’s illegal gambling. Although Andy was not present, Shinhwa’s members Eric, Lee Min Woo, Shin Hye Sung, and Jun Jin bowed 90 degrees before the camera, apologizing as a group.  Other member Kim Dong Wan had decided not to film for the new season of “Shinhwa Broadcast” due to his busy schedule, and thus was also not present.

Leader Eric expressed, “We want to sincerely apologize to everyone who became worried after the incident with one of our members

Shinhwa Shin Hye Sung Sells Out of Solo Concert in 10 Minutes

Shinhwa member Shin Hye Sung will be holding a solo concert at the end of this year.

Shin Hye Sung will be holding his 'SHIN HYE SUNG CONCERT THE YEAR'S JOURNEY' sold out of the 8,000 seat concert in 10 minutes.

This is also his 3rd year holding a end of the year concert, making fans excited every year for his concert.

Shin Hye Sung hopes to have a close and intimate time with his fans and celebrate the new year.

The concert will be held on December 30-31.
