Security runs to the rescue to save Pikachu from an ‘intruder’ at ‘Pokemon World Festival 2017’

Everyone’s favorite Pokemon, Pikachu gets unexpectedly dragged off the stage during a lively performance.

On May 2, a video was posted on YouTube titled ‘Pikachu deflates in Songdo highlight video.’  The footage was captured on April 30 at the ‘Pokemon World Festival 2017’ in Songdo District.

In the clip, the Pikachu in the center was dancing around when it suddenly began to deflate.  Seeing this, a man wearing a white shirt dashed to the scene trying to lift the melting Pikachu when a hoard of security guards appeared out of nowhere and tried to tackle the man thinking that he was attacking the pocket monster. It looked like a presidential assassination scene straight out of a drama except replace the president with Pikachu.

Startled by the incident, the other Pikachu’s froze momentarily wondering what had happened then resumed their cute act.

Assuring the heated security guards that he was a staff member, the man escorted the deflated Pikachu backstage to safety.  After fixing himself up, Pikachu began to make its way towards the performance when the malfunction occurred again, causing the spectators great laughter.

“Look at Pikachu getting dragged away again!” Unfortunately, Pikachu was unable to take part in the dance but instead joined his squad later for the rest of the parade.

As of May 6, the footage went viral via social media.
