With the investigations for Park Si Hoo‘s sexual assault case drawing near a close, a few media outlets reported that the police had determined that Park Si Hoo had lied on all of the questions asked him during the lie detector test; and that they are considering requesting for an arrest warrant when they send in their report in for review to the prosecution. However, Park Si Hoo’s legal team has issued a firm response denying the reports, and has announced their intention to take legal action against the two media outlets that first reported on these issues

The CEO of Open World Entertainment will not have a lawyer from a big law firm for his upcoming hearing at the Supreme Court. The CEO had been sentenced to 6 years in prison while under trial for his sexual assault case against trainees. He has been attempting to get his sentence reduced by appealing, but his last appeal was rejected by the lower courts last month. He is now taking it to the Supreme Court with his petition for appeal. It’s been reported that his petition has been processed recently, but what’s interesting is that rather than the big time law firms he had used to fight the case previously, he has opted to go with a public defender instead for his hearing at the Supreme Court; and thereby raising questions as to why he has decided to do so

MC Kim Yong Man has been charged with participating in illegal sports gambling, betting over 1 billion KRW (approximately 896,000 USD) over the years. On the 19th, he was summoned for investigations that lasted late into the night, where he admitted to many of the accusations. According to the what is being reported, he had started visiting 2-3 illegal sports gambling sites starting in 2008. He started it as a light fun with his manager, but admitted, “As time passed, I couldn’t quit.” He was caught while the prosecutors were investigating the managers of the illegal sports betting sites and found his account in their lists

Two managers who tried to blackmail a top star for participating in homosexual activity have been indicted by the prosecutors. According to the Seoul Central District Prosecutor’s Office,  ”Mr. Gu” and “Mr. Baek” blackmailed actor “Mr. Park” (44) for 4 million KRW (approximately $3,600 USD) after filming his homosexual acts. Mr. Gu has been imprisoned as he is currently being investigated, and Mr. Baek is being actively investigated without imprisonment
