‘Running Man’ In Danger Of Cancellation Following Casts’ Inappropriate Behaviors During Broadcast

“Running Man” is under a lot of controversies lately. After Kim Jung Kook’s sexist remarks, now the show has to face the risk of being canceled after The Korean Communications Standards Committee flagged the SBS show for displaying inappropriate behaviors.

According to Soompi, “Running Man” needs to go under review after the previous broadcast showed a game segment where the cast and guests involved in arousing and inappropriate actions. The arousing behaviors include grabbing a vital body part, which the committee deemed as an overly inappropriate behavior.

On April 2 episode, HaHa had to wrestle with guest star Choi Min Young in order to win the chance to answer a question. HaHa was seen grabbing Choi Min Young’s crotch while wrestling and he wouldn’t let go until the guest star was seen breaking down in tears due to pain, as per IBT.

The recent controversy will only damage “Running Man” and SBS reputation, especially when the show has suffered a lot lately after Kang Gary left. Jeon So Min and Yang Se Chan addition to the show as new permanent members have created a huge bummer for fans. Now, even though the show brought back Song Ji Hyo and Kim Jong Kook, “Running Man” doesn’t seem to rise from its lowest point in the history.

Another controversy arises previously involving Kim Jong Kook on April 30 episode. During the episode, Kim Jong Kook was asked about his ideal type of woman, in which he answered that he doesn’t like tall women and he doesn’t even consider the tall ones as women. Even though he said those words just to hitting on SISTAR’s Hyorin, viewers, who were mostly women, were quite disappointed and furious.

Meanwhile, “Running Man” isn’t the only show to be flagged by the Communications Committee. KBS 2TV’s drama “Father is Strange” had to suffer the same fate for using inappropriate language.
