Rookie group Underdog leader Steelo arrested for smuggling drugs, contract terminated

Rookie idol group Underdog’s leaderSteelo(Lee Dong Hae) was reportedly arrested after attempting to smuggle drugs, terminating his contract with 2Able Company.

On April 26, a representative of 2Able Company stated in a phone interview with Sports Donga, “Including Steelo, our initial contract with group Underdog has been terminated.”

The representative continued, “Since the members of Underdog have already split up, it’s difficult for us to know what is actually going on at the moment. All we know is that Steelo was hospitalized recently for a month because he wasn’t feeling well. We haven’t heard from him since then.”

Seoul’s police investigation team cracked down on various bars, clubs, and businesses in the Gangnam district after reports of smuggling narcotics via international mail and luggage bags came in. 19 of 101 suspects have been caught and arrested on April 26.

In addition to Steelo, a famousprofessional baseball player was also handcuffed.

Police personnel mentioned the idol star claimed he was only doing a favor.Meanwhile, boy group Underdog debuted in 2013, but seems to have disbanded.
