Facilities of the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics are satisfactory, but more effort is needed for events to run more smoothly, according to the Olympic organizing committee on Tuesday.
The committee released the evaluation results of test events delivered by the International Olympic Committee and other international governing bodies of each sport tested.
The organizers said concerns over weather and lack of professionalism among staff were raised, but facilities were favorably viewed.
A total of 25 test events were held from February last year including the Alpine Skiing World Cup and the World Para Ice Hockey Championships, with participation of over 5,600 athletes and staff from 45 countries.
The Pyeongchang Winter Games will begin on Feb. 9 next year.
