At the beginning of the month, it was revealed that FOX's musical comedy-drama television show "GLEE" would be covering PSY's worldwide hit track "Gangnam Style" in a future episode set to be aired near the end of the month.
A promo video for the upcoming "Gangnam Style" themed episode has been released on November 27th local time, revealing that the older cast of "GLEE" who had graduated in the last season has returned for the holidays, just in time for sectionals.
Short scenes of the current "GLEE" members performing "Gangnam Style" for their sectional performance is also revealed.
The sneak peak video goes behind-the-scene with the cast, who try to sing some parts of the song from memory. Actor Kevin McHale (Artie) revealed that Jenna Ushkowitz (Tina) had the hardest job out of all of them, having been given the role of singing the entire song in Korean.
Jenna Ushkowitz is Korean-American, born in Seoul, South Korea, but was ultimately raised in New York after getting adopted at three months of age.
Becca Tobin (Kitty) goes to mention that she spent 2 hours in the recording studio to simply sing four lines.
The "Gangnam Style" performance will air on the "Thanksgiving" episode of "GLEE" scheduled to air this Thursday on November 29th.

FOX's musical comedy-drama television show "Glee" has revealed one of their upcoming covers for a future episode on October 31st local time.
The video begins with actors Darren Criss, Jenna Ushkowitz and Kevin McHale of "GLEE" introducing themselves and giving their thanks to their millions of fans for watching them. As a thank you, the trio gives a special sneak peak of behind-the-scenes into the making of an upcoming episode of "GLEE."
The rehearsal video for "Gangnam Style" on October 19th by the "GLEE" cast is then revealed. The cast is viewed dancing a reinterpreted version of the "horse dance" of "Gangnam Style," where the female cast is on the backs of the males (think BoA "Girls On Top").
A preview of their version of the track, still sung in its original Korean lyrics, is then shown, as well as scenes of the upcoming episode.
"Gangnam Style" by "GLEE" will not be aired until the end of November.
This is not the first time that a popular American television show has featured "Gangnam Style" into its plot. Other shows include "South Park" and recently, America's "Dancing With The Stars" featured the participants dancing to the track.

On September 21, 2012 K-POP Cover Dance Festival contestants will be performing a “Gangnam Style” flashmob in Gwanghwamun Square. If youre also a K-Pop fan and happen to be in Seoul that day, come to Gwanghwamun Square at 11:30 AM to participate, as anyone can join!
The final round of 2012 K-POP Cover Dance Festival hosted by the Visit Korea Committee, will take place on September 22, in Gyeongju.
From last April, applicants submitted their performance videos to the event’s official website. It is a total of 80 final contestants of 13 teams that has been selected through local final rounds, among nearly 1,800 video entries from 70 countries. The local rounds winning teams are coming from 11 different countries: Nigeria, Russia, Hungary, Indonesia, Philippines, Brazil, India, Australia, Japan, Thailand, and the United States.
During the final round, K-Pop groups Rainbow and A-JAX will judge the remaining contestants and select a winner. The final winner will have the opportunity to perform on stage at the Hallyu Dream Concert on the September 23, at Gyeongju Citizens’ Stadium. Good luck to all teams! Fighting!
SISTAR responded to Psy‘s parody performance of “Alone“ at his summer concert by covering Psy’s viral hit “Gangnam Style” at their first solo concert, ‘Femme Fatale‘.
Their performance attracted a 3,000 member audiences and the girls completed successfully their first solo concert on the 15th at the Olympic Hall in Seoul. In their concert, they displayed their past hits, a few cover and solo stages.

On September 6, at the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards, Psy performed the horse dance along with MTV VMA host Kevin Hart with his hit single and viral hit Gangnam Style blaring over the speakers at the Staples Center and to 600 million viewers. A recently released teaser for a refrigerator advertisement featuring newly-minted U.S. record label Island Records artist Psy and entertainer extraordinaire and CF king Lee Seung Gi has been making the rounds online and has netizens talking.
In the released teaser, Psy is seen tired out after dancing the horse dance for his single “Gangnam Style.” Psy asks Lee Seung Gi, “With the way things are going, I am not going to become a horse, right?” To encourage Psy, Lee Seung Gi tells him to eat kimchi (which is fresh and delicious due to the advertised refrigerator) and get strength from it.
The music video for “Gangnam Style,” along with the addictive melody and catchy chorus, made the single a hit both internationally and domestically, and most, notably, got him a record deal with powerhouse U.S. record label Island Records which boasts international superstars including Mariah Carey, Jennifer Lopez, The Killers, Snow Patrol, and Justin Bieber.

Singer Jay Park performed his version of Psy‘s “Gangnam Style“.
Recently, a video with titled ‘Park Jae Bum’s horse dance‘ of Jay Park has been leaked on Youtube. The clip quickly got attractive to netizens.
In the video, the singer seems to be the set of a photoshoot with “Gangnam Style”. When hearing the chorus of the song, Jay Park tried to dance by own on and it made the staff members brust into laugh.

On September 1st, Yakult Look Concert of Girls’ Generation was held at the Woori Art Hall in Seoul’s Olympic Park.
During the concert, the ladies were required to dance to PSY‘s “Gangnam Style” and also to the viral hit in short time.
Also, while recording for the September 1st episode of ‘Show! Music Core’, it was revealed that TaeTiSeo‘sTiffany, Taeyeon, and Seohyun were dancing to “Gangnam Style” when the main cameras didnt run.

Recently in an online community forum, a picture was posted under the title 'The creation of PsyU.'
In the picture, singer IU's 2nd album Last Fantasyalbum jacket is changed to Psy's face.
Next to Psy's face, it reads 'PSYU,' which is a combination of Psy and IU, and the album title is also changed to "Gangnam Fantasy."
Internet users who saw this commented, "IU and Psy, the most popular artists meet," "This is funny," and "I like you, Gangnam Style oppa?"

After many popular entries, Psy awarded the top award of best cover of "Gangnam Style" to Jun Sung Ahn from Illinois, USA (Chicago Area).Psy called Sung Ahn's entry as "Miguk Style" or American Style. In his entry, Jun Sung Ahn did a split-image video of himself playing the violin and dancing to the now-famous song. The prize Sung Ahn was able to get for his entry is a trip to Saipan.
There were other interesting entries submitted, especially the also very-popular parody "Hongdae Style" which has also gone viral. "Hongdae Style" got runner-up recognition for this contest.
