The staff stated, “The footage in question from the broadcast did not have the purpose of criticizing or degrading, but of depicting their wedding as ‘out of ordinary’ due to the wedding’s concise regulations with the guests. We admit that some captions and the appearance of comedian Lee Eun Hyung was cause for misunderstandings, and apologize deeply.”
They continued, “We want to congratulate Lee Sang Woo and Kim So Yeon on their wedding, and if they felt offended in any way due to our broadcast, we apologize to them.”
On the June 13 coverage of Lee Sang Woo and Kim So Yeon’s private wedding, ‘One Night of Real Entertainment’ placed emphasis on how inspectors at the entrance of the wedding hall thoroughly checked each guests’s invitation, not admitting any who were not invited. The show compared the inspections to high-security airport checks, in addition to captions pointing out the exclusivity of the guests. Comedian Lee Eun Hyung, who had come to pick up a guest nearby the hall, was interviewed and portrayed as if she could not enter the hall because she did not have an invitation.
