Heechul and Lee Soon Jae Share Hilarious Moments during Script Reading for “Flower Grandpa Investigation Unit”

What may have seemed like an unlikely collaboration turned in to a hilarious moment as Super Junior‘s Kim Heechul shared funny exchanges with veteran actor Lee Soon Jae during the script reading for tvN‘s upcoming drama, “Flower Grandpa Investigation Unit.”

Although Lee Soon Jae is actually much older than the Super Junior member, the plot of the new tvN drama made it so that Heechul had to speak to the veteran actor as if he was younger than the singer.

On April 2, the cast of “Flower Grandpa Investigation Unit” had their first script reading, and the room could not stop laughing at the silly moments. As Lee Soon Jae, Byun Hee Bong, and Jang Gwang act as young detectives who mysteriously turn in to 70-something-year-old grandpas overnight, the three must seek the help of their wiser detective colleague

Choi Jin Hyuk cast in “Flower Grandpa Investigation Unit”

Choi Jin Hyuk is currently acting as an intern working with his ex-wife in “Emergency Couple.

Before the end of “Emergency Couple”, the actor has been cast in the upcoming tvN comedy “Flower Grandpa Investigation Unit.”

In this new drama, Choi Jin Hyuk will portray the genius police detective, Lee Joon Hyuk, who suddenly turns into a 70s grandfather. His old version will be played by veteran actor Lee Soon Jae.

Choi Jin Hyuk’s character will team up with Park Min Woo and Park Doo Shin‘s characters to form the “Flower Grandpa Investigation Unit”.

In addition, Super Junior’s Heechul will also appear as the young detective who helps the grandpas deal with their mysterious situation: losing youth

Choi Jin Hyuk to Play Lee Soon Jae’s Younger Version in tvN’s “Flower Grandpa Investigation Unit”

Many may be familiar with the variety show, “Grandpa over Flower,” the variety show that follows four grandpas on their trip overseas. Well now, a comedic drama titled “Flower Grandpa Investigation Unit” will broadcast on tvN.

The drama will feature veteran actors Lee Soon Jae, Byun Hee Bong, and Jang Kwang who are young detectives who mysteriously change into grandpas. Actor Choi Jin Hyuk will play the younger version of Lee Soon Jae’s character, Lee Joon Hyuk. Having graduated elite in the police academy, as well as being a part of Mensa with an IQ of 150, Lee Joon Hyuk is on a quest to discover what has caused the sudden aging of the three detectives.

Choi Jin Hyuk is currently filming tvN’s “Emergency Couple,” and has shown his potential to act in a variety of different characters

Crayon Pop ‘Blue Tower’ Appearance… Does Five Cylinder Dance

Crayon Pop made a guest appearance on tvN's drama "Blue Tower"

According to a source at "Blue Tower" on October 16th, Crayon Pop made a special guest appearance and performed the 5 cylinder dance with the platoon. The dance is from Crayon Pop's hit song "Bar Bar Bar."

Crayon Pop's cameo appearance was a response to Lee Joon Hyuk's expressed wishes.

At the press conference for "Blue Tower" held in September, Lee Joon Hyuk said, "The girl group I want to meet the most is Crayon Pop." And Crayon Pop responded to his request.

This episode will feature Lee Joon Hyuk and Choi Jong Hoon in addition to Crayon Pop dancing to their "Bar Bar Bar" song.

These two, who have gained weight thanks to their big appetites, are sent to the health department, and are told, "Whoever reaches their goal weight will be able to see Crayon Pop's performance close up

Leeteuk, Se7en, Sangchu to be relocated to field units

Following the abolishment of the disgraced military’s PR unit, celebrity soldiers have been transferred to field units.

According to the Ministry of National Defense, 12 celebrity recruits including Super Junior’s Leeteuk, Kim Moo Yul, Lee Hyuk Ki, Kim Min Su, Kim Ho Young, Lee Seok Hoon, Ryu Sang Wook, Lee Ji Hoon and Choi Jae Hwan have been already moved to the field units

Se7en, Sangchu and Lee Joon Hyuk will be relocated on August 9 after they finish serving their sentences in military jail. All agents will serve as riflemen.

Ministry of National Defense to Discipline and Relocate PR Unit Celebrity Soldiers

In the aftermath of the controversy over the military leniency toward celebrity soldiers serving in the army, the South Korean Ministry of National Defense has decided to abolish the celebrity soldier recruit system for the National Defense Public Relations Support Unit. In addition, the soldiers currently serving in the unit will be relocated to different field and service units.

The public relations unit came under fire when SBS’s investigative program “Scene 21” reported on celebrity soldiers breaking military rules, in particular, catching singers Se7en and Mighty Mouth‘s Sangchu visiting adult massage parlors. Formal investigation was orderd by the minister of National Defense and today, the results were announced.

From this controversy, eight soldiers will be disciplined, with seven out of those eight receiving severe disciplinary action, Se7en and Sangchu included

Ratings: The final week of broadcasts for all three dramas, MBC‘s ‘King 2 Hearts‘, SBS‘s ‘Rooftop Prince’, and KBS‘s ‘Equator Man‘ has wrapped up

‘Rooftop Prince’, ‘The Equator Man’, and ‘The King 2 Hearts’ take a bow

Three dramas aired their final episodes last Thursday, May 24. SBS’ ‘Rooftop Prince’, KBS’ ‘The Equator Man’ and MBC’s ‘The King 2 Hearts all ended the same night, each wrapping up at the 20th episode.

The three dramas have been neck in neck in ratings during their three months of airing, and competition was stiff until the very end.

However, Park Yoo Chun and Han Ji Min’s fusion sageuk ‘Rooftop Prince’ came out on top, with a 14.8% share in TV ratings. ‘The Equator Man’, which starred Uhm Tae Woong and Lee Joon Hyuk was close behind, with 14.1%. Lee Seung Gi and Ha Ji Won’s ‘The King 2 Hearts’ came in last, with 11.8%. Results were released by AGB Nielsen Media Research.
