Did Lee Hyori Leave the Wedding Planning to Boyfriend Lee Sang Soon

Did Lee Hyori Leave the Wedding Planning to Boyfriend Lee Sang Soon?Lee Hyori recently proved to the world that she’s a “Bad Girl,” but her fans know deep down that she’s a good girl who advocates animal rights and encourages charity culture in Korea. But, she is also known and loved for her blunt personality on variety shows and knowing when to go from glam to casual.

As such, it wasn’t a surprise when, on July 29, a cable channel uploaded a preview of Lee Hyori’s last variety program before her marriage titled “Lee Hyori’s X Unni.”

In the teaser, boyfriend and musician Lee Sang Soon asked if Fin.K.L. will sing the congratulatory song. However, it fell on deaf ears with Hyori busy typing away on her keyboard. She got up quickly because she had somewhere to go and he asked if hes the only one taking care of the wedding planning.

“Lee Hyori’s X Unni” plans to air in August.

The speculation is mainly focused on Lee Sang Soon's background, whether the soft-spoken musician has studied abroad and if he comes from a wealthy family.

Lee Hyori admitted the rumors were mostly true, in an appearance Tuesday on the Seoul Broadcasting System program "Hwashin."

"[Lee Sang Soon's] parents own a kimbab place," Hyori said. "He did say that he was well-off when he was young."

Kimbab is a Korean dish made with steamed white rice wrapped in seaweed, similar to sushi.

"However, his parents went through a rough period," the singer added.

"He said that he had to make his own money in order to study abroad. His parents [still] own the kimbab place."

The "Miss Korea" singer said that things have picked up at the restaurant run by Lee Sang Soon's family.

"His mom has always been a great cook, so it's probably why their restaurant is doing well [again]," she said.

K-Pop's Queen of the "Bad Girls" recalled scoring some points with her boyfriend's mom by being her usual down-to-earth self.

"When I went for the first time to say my greetings, a customer ate just two pieces of kimbab and left the rest," Hyori said.

"His mom said that she would pack me kimbab, but I said that I would just finish the kimbab that was left on the table. People can't really eat kimbab in a dirty fashion. Anyway, I think I got some brownie points from her."

The singer may also deserve a Good Samaritan award for patching things up with her "Hwashin" co-host, Kim Gu Ra.

The controversial comedian returned to television in April after taking a yearlong hiatus because of comments he made referring to Japanese sex slaves called "comfort women" in World War II, as prostitutes.

Kim also made some anti-Lee Hyori comments on his internet radio show back in 2003 and expressed his distaste for the singer again in 2011 on the reality show "National Heroes."

"Lee Hyori and I have not had a good relationship," Kim said, adding, "I don't really like Lee Hyori."

Yet the pair seemed to have patched things up nicely, even sharing a hug on the Tuesday broadcast.

"I made a big mistake on an internet broadcast a while ago," Kim said, alluding to his 2003 comments about the singer.

"I feel that these celebrities who are ten years younger than me, like Moon Hee Joon and Lee Hyori, are my [younger siblings]. If I were them, I don't think I would have forgiven [me]. They are some really great people."

Lee Hyori's boyfriend Lee Sang Soon is the envy of fans around the world. Yet, the star says, Lee Sang Soon has a crush on the singer Bora from the group SISTAR.

"[Lee Sang Soon] never really knew any idol singers before he met me," Lee Hyori said Friday on the Seoul Broadcasting System talk show "Thank You."

"Now he watches various music programs, in which he started to like SISTAR...within the members. He likes Bora the best."

Lee Hyori also described Lee Sang Soon's habit of critiquing the other female performers he watches to the amusement of his superstar girlfriend.

The other guests on "Thank You" couldn't believe what they were hearing.

"The fact that Lee Hyori is jealous of Bora is too cute," one guest remarked.

"Lee Sang Soon must be some guy for the almighty Lee Hyori to be jealous," remarked another.

"I can't believe that his girlfriend is none other than Lee Hyori but he has a crush on an idol!"

The couple will hopefully have some time to work out any jealousy issues during Lee Hyori's upcoming hiatus.

The queen of the "Bad Girls" took to Twitter on Monday to announce that she is taking some time off from what has been a grueling schedule promoting her fifth album "Monochrome."

What sparked this impromptu vacation? She feels like it.

"The reason why I'm resting for a while? Because I want to rest," Lee tweeted. There's no other reason. Why is everyone asking about the reason?"

The singer's label B2M Entertainment told CJ EM enewsWorld on Monday that the Lee had originally only planned to do two weeks of promotion for her new record.

The star returned to the music world after a three-year hiatus on May 22, with her comeback special entitled the "2Hiyori Show."

The day before, Monochrome was released.

And it seems Lee might be ready for another break from the limelight.

The star broke down in tears in the "Thank You" interview when recalling her rebellious youth.

"I always did what I wanted to do, then I became a problem child," the singer said.

"It happened because I was dying my hair and dancing. I thought, 'Am I causing problems? Do I have problems?' and I came to the conclusion that there was a problem with society for wanting the same standards from everyone."

Lee Hyori Throws Boyfriend Lee Sang Soon A Curveball: 'You Think You Have Me? Don't Be So Sure' Singer Says One particular moment of Lee Hyoris appearance on Wednesdays episode of the Korean Broadcasting System show Happy Together 3, may have gotten her boyfriend Lee Sang Soons attention. One particular moment of Lee Hyori's appearance on Wednesday's episode of the Korean Broadcasting System show "Happy Together 3," may have gotten her boyfriend Lee Sang Soon's attention.

When the issue of marriage was brought up, Lee Hyori explained why she felt more open discussing her current relationship with the press.

"I've never dated publicly before. I think that's why I can talk more comfortably about him," the star said, before issuing Lee Sang Soon an eye-opening warning.

"I always dated thinking that this man would be my last love, but I've failed, too...do you think you have me? Don't be so sure."

The jokingly threatening comments were a a far cry from Lee Hyori's statements last week on the South Korean radio program "Kim Bum Soo's Music Plaza."

The 34-year-old Queen of K-pop said that although her and her boyfriend don't have any concrete wedding plans, she likes the idea of being married to him.

"If I were to get married, I'd like Lee Sang Soon to be my husband," Lee Hyori said. "But we haven't made any concrete plans for that yet."

K-pop's Queen of the "Bad Girls" laid out the complicated chronology that eventually led to her and her boyfriend getting together in the Wednesday interview.

"I met Lee Sang Soon through [South Korean songwriter] Jung Jae Hyung," Lee Hyori said.

"Back then, I was kind of hyperactive and bold, so apparently he didn't like that. I thought that we weren't meant to be, but then I ran into him again a year later at a concert. So I decided to try to make it work, but then he had a scandal with someone else."

But fate seemed to pull the couple back together.

"So I started dating someone else right away," the singer explained.

"We dated other people, broke up with them, but in the end we started to date each other."

Lee Hyori's single "Bad Girls" is currently the number two song on Billboard's K-Pop Hot 100, after spending last week at number one.

The song also topped South Korea's GAON Digital and Download charts, along with Lee's other single "Miss Korea," which is currently number 17 on the Billboard K-pop charts.

Singer Calls Boyfriend Lee Sang Soon 'A Man That I Want To Be My Last' Lee Hyoris boyfriend Lee Sang Soon may not be exactly who she pictures as her ideal man, but he suits her just fine.Lee Hyori's boyfriend Lee Sang Soon may not be exactly who she pictures as her ideal man, but he suits her just fine.

On the Wednesday episode of the South Korean television show "Radio Star," Lee opened up about the differences between her ideal man and the one that she loves.

Co-host Yoon Jong Shin brought up the singer's past remarks that she likes a man who "secretly puts his credit card into my wallet" or has "a sexy spinal cord," and asked if that is true of Lee Sang Soon.

"He steals my card and his spinal cord is curved like an S line because he plays the guitar, that's why it is sexy," Lee said.

But when it came to the subject of whether Lee Sang Soon is Lee Hyori's perfect match, her response changed.

When the singer was asked 'what is Lee Sang Soon to Lee Hyori?' her answer was clear.

"A man that I want to be my last," she said.

Prompting the inevitable question: will the two Lees get married?

Not likely, if the singer feels the same way as she did at actor Uhm Tae Woong's wedding back in January.

Responding to a reporter's question at the ceremony, which took place at the five star Conrad Hotel on Seoul's Yeoui Island, Hyori brushed off the idea of any imminent marriage plans.

"Even the President-elect [Park Geun Hye] is not married just yet, so I don't feel the need to marry fast," she said.

The comments caused a backlash from some K-pop fans, who felt it was inappropriate for the star to bring the South Korean president into the conversation, according to the website Soompi.

The following day, Lee took to Twitter to respond to the fan backlash.

"You can have a great life even if you don't get married," she tweeted.

"Why is it that female celebrities get questioned about marriage all the time as soon as they turn 30? I was so sick of those questions that I was just joking around a little."

And with Lee Hyori and Lee Sang Soon appearing together on the TV program "Thank You" Friday night, maybe the marriage question will come up.

The show will also feature singer-turned-restaurateur Lee Ji Yeon, and Ye Eun of the group Wonder Girls, according to the Korea Star Daily.

Is Lee Hyori A Slob? 'She Doesn't Like Changing Clothes, When She Wears Makeup, I Think, Who Is This?' 'Bad Girl's Boyfriend Says [VIDEO] Lee Hiyoris boyfriend Lee Sang Soon says when the show is over and the cameras are turned off, the singer rarely dresses up.Lee Hyori showed the world she could be sexy and elegant in her two new music videos "Bad Girls" and "Miss Korea."

Yet, according to boyfriend Lee Sang Soon, when the show is over and the cameras are turned off, Lee Hyori rarely puts effort into being anything other than herself.

"She doesn't like changing clothes and when she wears makeup, I think, 'Who is this, sitting next to me?'" Lee Hiyori's boyfriend Lee Sang Soon said in an interview filmed for the "2Hyori Show."

The singer's comeback show, which aired on South Korean music channel Mnet on Wednesday, featured Lee Hiyori in a dazzling array of outfits, making it difficult to imagine K-pop's reigning queen is a slob.

"We put a lot of effort into presenting a variety of performances that shows the mood of each of Lee Hyori's songs for viewers," An So Yoen, producer of the "2Hyori Show," told CJ EM enewsWorld on Wednesday.

"Lee Hyori prepared a number of looks to bring her songs to life on stage and you'll be able to see what makes her Korea's top fashionista."

The singer's boyfriend, who may disagree with the Korea's top fashionista title, also reflected on the way the singer has changed over the years in the special.

"Ten years ago, she used to say that men would fall for her in just '10 Minutes,'" Lee Sang Soon said, in a reference to his girlfriend's song.

"But now, after just ten minutes, she falls for the men."

Slob or not, reviewers have been lining up to praise Lee Hyori's new video for the song "Bad Girls," which was written by Norway's Music Design.

The website Popdust called the clip, directed by Cha Eun taek, a strong candidate for "the best K-pop video of the year (besides Psy, of course)."

And celebrity blogger Perez Hilton has gone bananas for "Bad Girls."

"Lee Hyori is often referred to as South Korea's Beyonce and we understand why," Hilton wrote on Wednesday.

"Her new video Bad Girls is catchy, empowering to women, and just 16 tons of fun. Like Matt Bomer with bird flu, this song is both beautiful and infectious...it's true what they say, once you K-Pop you just can't stop!"

And with the release of her fifth album "Monochrome" on Tuesday, the world is poised for whatever Lee Hiyori has in store for us.
