Ma Dong Suk, who these days showed his very good acting talentsthru his appearance in the zombie film Teach to Pusan, made his debut in 2005 in the action film Heavens Soldiers. Since then, he has seemed in a lot of works addingthe flicksGood-byeUnmarried and No Tomorrow, in additionthe yankee Netflix drama Sense8. This year, he is decidedto take part in the dramas Police Unit No. 38 and With God.

When asked about his absence from Cannes, Ma Dong Suk stated in an interview that he becamenot ableto wait the festival because of his existing filming time table for his next project. However, it was said that each and every fourth dimension one of his scenes seemed onscreen at the festival, the attendees were captivated and laugher and applause were heard.

Ma Dong Suk also printed in an interview that he was ignoredvia his fellow Exercise to Pusan co-stars. The actor revealed, When I used to be filming for my new project, the group of workers and actors who went to the festival texted me pronouncingthat everybody applauded each time 1 was onscreen, I was so glad that I sought after to run over there correct away. Im still more than happy that the film did well.

As Train to Pusan is the primary large-scale Korean zombie movie, the actor revealed that he needed to take part in the film because he enjoyed the role and the director.

The Thieves‘ has been receiving explosive response and has become the 2nd most successful Korean movie in China.

‘The movie hit 3,000 theaters across China on January 15th and earned 18,600,000 CNY (approximately 3 million USD) on the first weekend. ‘The Thieves’ is now just behind the hit movie ‘Late Autumn‘ in China.

"The Thieves", #1 Most Watched Korean Movie

Many saw it coming, and sure enough the hit movie "The Thieves" have stolen the top spot to become the most watched Korean movie of all time.

The movie drew in a record of 13,020,393 people in just 70 days, breaking the previous record which was held by "The Host" in 2006 with 13,019,740 people in 106 days. "The Thieves" had also broken past the 5 million admissions mark in 10 days and 10 million admissions in 22 days. Despite having played for 70 days, the movie can still be watched at 76 theatres across the country.

In terms of how much in sales "The Thieves" has raked in, the current total stands at 93,561,965,000 won (roughly $84 million). This puts it ahead of "The Host" with 78.5 billion won (roughly $70 million), and "Haeundae" with 81.9 billion won (roughly $73 million).

The all-time record (Korean films and foreign films) is held by "Avatar" with 13.3 million admissions.

The distributor of the film, ShowBox Mediaplex, announced that ‘The Thieves’ has recorded 13,020,393 admissions, breaking the previous record of ‘The Host’ set in 2006, with 13,019,740 admissions in 106 days. ‘The Thieves’ broke the record only in 70 days.

It is said that ‘The Thieves’ has a great chance of breaking the all-time record of 13.3 million admissions set by international film ‘Avatar’.

Currently, ‘The Thieves’ has made 93,561,965,000 KRW (approximately $84 million USD), ahead of ‘The Host‘ with 78.5 billion KRW (approximately $70 million USD), and ‘Haeundae‘ with 81.9 billion KRW (approximately $73 million USD).

Meanwhile, ‘The Thieves’ was recently introduced during Toronto International Film Festival, and it will be introduced during the 7th London Korean Film Festival and the 7th Paris Korean Film Festival. Furthermore, it will be released in America and Canada on October 12th.
