Kim Soo Hyun Brings Great Viewer Ratings to SBS Even Without “Man From the Stars”

On January 31, instead of airing episode 14 of “Man From the Stars,” SBS aired the movie “Secretly, Greatly” for a Lunar New Year special, taking the number one spot among other shows airing at that time.

According to Nielsen Korea, a viewer rating research company, “Secretly, Greatly” achieved a viewer rating of 13.1% across the country, edging out KBS’ “Please Look After Mom” (4.6%), “Age of Feeling” (8.3%), MBC’s “Lunar New Year Look-Alike Special” (8.4%), and “Miss Korea” (8.6%).

Moreover, “Secretly, Greatly” also achieved a higher rating than the special films shown the day before on January 30. KBS showed the film “Deranged,” getting 1

Lunar New Year Special: Do You Know Your Hanbok?

The Lunar New Year (Seollal) is one of the major holidays in Korea, and as such, it’s one of the few occasions when people might wear the traditional national garment known as hanbok.

For women, the hanbok consists of a jeogori (a jacket, usually cropped below the bustline and held together with a tie), and a chima (a long skirt that ties around the bust and billows out in a full shape). For men, the hanbok also consists of a jeogori, worn longer than the women’s style, paired with full pants called baji. Both men and women may wear the hanbok with clothing such as vests or overcoats, and they might also accessorize with various headgear and accessories.

The hanbok is thought to be shown to its greatest advantage when in movement, as the stiff-seeming layers give way to reveal a fluidity and gracefulness of shape and line

Confrontation and Rejection Stir Emotions in “Man from the Stars”

With only one episode this week due to the Lunar New Year, “Man from the Stars” Episode 13 leaves viewers yearning for even more. I can feel some huge plot developments in the works, but this hour largely focuses on the aftermath of Min Joon’s revelation of his true nature. Song Yi tries her best to engage Min Joon’s feelings despite his alien identity, but Min Joon remains focused on pushing her out of reach. Song Yi is the true star of this episode, and her unique reaction to Min Joon’s confession is endearing to watch. So what if he’s an alien? According to her, love is what really matters. Too bad Min Joon can’t seem to stop lying to her about his true feelings.

Watch Kim Soo Hyun’s and Angelababy’s New CF!

Wow, watching Kim Soo Hyun is enough to have your mind spin, but to watch Kim Soo Hyun act with famous Hong Kong actress, Angelababy, is mind boggling. Although an unlikely pair, the two actors were selected to model for Samsonite Red. Although the focus is supposed to be on the brand name bags, you can’t help notice the chemistry between Kim Soo Hyun and Angelababy.

The first CF shows Kim Soo Hyun riding off with Angelababy’s bag, despite the Hong Kong actress’ attempts to hitchhike. Personally, if someone as good looking as Kim Soo Hyun drove up with his car, I too wouldn’t be able to stop and stare. However, the second CF conveys a sadder tone, in which Angelababy seems heartbroken after being left by evil Kim Soo Hyun. Ironically, it seems that although she is able to throw away her expensive jewelries, the actress can’t let go of her red Samsonite bag

Actor Yoo Yeon Suk, who received much popularity through his role Chilbongee on tvN’s “Reply 1994,” mentioned Kim Soo Hyun during an interview with SBS’ “Midnight TV Entertainment,” which aired on January 29.

He said, “I think Kim Soo Hyun is very handsome. Everyone goes wild for him. I think all the fans migrated to ‘Man from the Stars’ after ‘Reply 1994’ ended.”

Yoo Yeon Suk was recently chosen as the number one celebrity mothers would want to introduce as their son-in-law. Other male celebrities on the list included Kim Soo Hyun and Jung Woo. In relation to the survey, Yoo Yeon Suk commented, “I beat some great candidates. I think I’ll be able to enjoy Lunar New Year happily,” and said, “I think I’ll do well. I’m pretty gentle and I like to do things sensibly
