Looks like the famous on-screen "X-Man Couple" may be reunited after all!
Actress Yoon Eun Hye recently spoke in regards to the "Running Man" love calls she has been receiving from both the production crew as well as the fans. She stated, "I"m amazed and grateful that [the viewers] haven"t forgotten me and are interested in me but due to planned schedules, it will be difficult to film ["Running Man"] right now."
The actress is certainly busy as she is currently filming for the Korean-Chinese movie "After Love" and will be overseas until March. However, Yoon Eun Hye suggests that there may be an opportunity for her to appear on "Running Man" in the future as she said, "From now on, there will be good opportunities."
SBS representatives have stated, "It seems like there"s a good chance that we will give her a public offer to film. We aren"t pressuring her to accept our film request. We plan on discussing things with her side later."
As previously reported, ever since Kim Jong Kook was asked whether he would pull off Yoon Eun Hye"s nametag on "Running Man", there"s been a stream of headlines and media attention focused on getting the former "X-Man" pair on the popular variety show. The "Running Man" show also started a Twitter movement and the PD himself asked the actress to appear. Kim Jong Kook then apologized to Yoon Eun Hye for the pressure, but the actress replied that the apology wasn"t necessary.

“Yoon Eun Hye is grateful for Kim Jong Kook’s steadfast care and [attention]. She didn’t think the matter was something that he had to call to apologize about. If anything, she was more sorry that he apologized,” the source stated. “It’s already been about 10 years since ‘X-Man,’ and [Yoon Eun Hye] is fascinated and entertained that [their relationship on the show] continues to be a hot topic [to this day]. [The SNS campaign] is not at all something to give and receive apologies for,” her agency concluded.
Kim Jong Kook recently appeared on SBS talk show “Healing Camp” and talked about Yoon Eun Hye with whom he had a love line on the 2005 variety show “X-Man.”

MC Lee Kyung Kyu said, "The originators of melodrama on variety programs were Kim Jong Kook and Yoon Eun Hye," referring to their virtual couple relationship on "X-Men." MC Sung Yuri asked if they had dated to which a taken aback Kim Jong Kook replied, "It would"ve been nice if we had dated, right?" and laughed.
He continued, "When we were recording, I would think of her as my woman. Within this, if a woman who was coupled up with me was being asked out by another man, I thought that I"d have to protect her."
MC Kim Je Dong also brought up an ideal type, saying he prepared an "Ideal Type World Cup" for Kim Jong Kook to do. When the named women were Sung Yuri, Suzy, and Yoon Eun Hye, Kim Jong Kook was unable to hide his happy smile.

In a recent interview in China to promote the premiere of his starring Chinese movie "Hurry Up Brother" (movie version of the Chinese variety show based on "Running Man"), Kim Jong Kook was asked about Angelababy and Yoon Eun Hye.
When asked, "How do you think it"d be to film "Running Man" in the same team as Angelababy?" he replied, "I"ve always been awkward and uncomfortable being in a team with female members. However, I think if I were to work with Angelababy, other people would be envious."
Another question was, "If there were both Angelababy and Yoon Eun Hye, whose name tag would you take off first?". Kim Jong Kook was the first member to go on a stare off with HaHa. While trying their best to keep their eyes open, HaHa, who skillfully protected his eyes from blinking, asked Kim Jong Kook, “Do you like Yoon Eun Hye? During the episode, Kim Jong Kook’s Kangwon University team advanced to the semi finals in the National Collegiate Ddakji Championship by default. Due to Kim Jong Kook’s immense energy, the team was able to score two consecutive, sweeping wins.
At this time, college students from the opposing teams launched a sudden attack on Kim Jong Kook by shouting “Yoon Eun Hye! Yoon Eun Hye!”, causing an embarrassed Kim Jong Kook to strike out. Yoo Jae Suk commented that “This strategy was quite effective,” amusing those present. SPOILER ALERT- Ultimately, Kim Jong Kook was defeated 2:1 by Ji Suk Jin.
The May 25 episode also included the selection of a “Ddakji King” from among eight competing collegiate heavyweights.

During the final "ddakji" tournament, he faced off versus Ji Suk Jin. The surrounding audience, finding this matchup a bit unfair, started chanting Yoon Eun Hye"s name to throw Kim Jong Kook off his game! "It"s definitely an effective strategy," commented impromptu emcees Yoo Jae Suk and HaHa.
