An ambiguous post and the removal of "2NE1" from Minzy"s profiles on both Twitter and Instagram have 2NE1 fans wondering if the group is on the brink of breaking up.
On October 16, 2NE1 fans around the world began noticing a significant change to K-Pop singer Minzy"s social media accounts.
Gong Minji (commonly known as Minzy), the youngest member of YG Entertainment"s leading girl group 2NE1, recently updated her profiles on both Twitter and Instagram to remove her affiliation with the band.
Minzy"s Twitter profile has been returned to its original biographical statement "God"s Lover/Amante De Dios/mingkki/MINZY/2NE1, but according to Koreaboo, the "2NE1" part was recently removed for a short while.

In addition to the profile change, on October 13 Minzy posted a typographic photo perhaps suggesting that changes may be around the corner for the singer, the group, or both.

The message has left many fans worried that 2NE1 may be on the brink of a break up.
The image has received over a thousand comments from followers, many expressing shock and confusion and pleading for the singer to remain as a member of 2NE1.
"I"m crying for rumors," wrote Instagram user @margaritalazo. "Please tell us that is lies. I"m so sad, please don"t leave."
Fan concerns have been further fueled by the recent announcement that 2NE1 leader CL will be making a solo debut in the U.S. this coming spring. Reports on October 16 revealed that CL"s stateside promotions will be handled by American talent manager Scooter Braun, who also represents her YG label-mate and "Gangnam Style" hit-maker Psy.
Neither YG Entertainment nor Minzy herself have addressed rumors of a 2NE1 lineup change or disbandment.
