Singer-songwriter IU was recently interviewed by 1theK’s “Spot Interview” regarding her newest album “Palette”. On the interview, the singer-songwriter expressed how being number one does not matter.
As reported by Koreaboo, IU was asked how she felt when she achieved the perfect all-kill feat. When “Palette” was released on April 21, three tracks from the album achieved the feat in less than 72 hours!
IU’s response was simple: She explained that she always feels happy when she achieves being number one. However, the singer-songwriter said she always have this one thought on her mind.
According to IU, she always wonders to herself “What if I don’t rank first again?“IU then proceeded to express how promoting for herself is much more important than ranking first in any domestic or international chart. IU then laughed at herself for being too honest.
IU achieved the all-kill status for three of “Palette’s” tracks. These include “Can’t Love You Anymore ft. Oh Hyuk”, and “Through the Night” which achieved the all-kill status weeks before the album released.
The album’s title track “Palette” also achieved the all-kill feat. The track is written and produced by IU herself, in collaboration with BIGBANG’s G-Dragon who wrote the rap parts to the song.
This maybe one of the reasons the track achieved the all-kill status. Meanwhile, watch the full interview of IU with 1theK down below.
In other news, rumors of the singer-songwriter undergoing jaw reduction surgery have been in the air recently. This was however debunked by a journalist on MBC Entertainment’s news show “Section TV”.
As previously reported by KpopStarz, the journalist herself went to the medical clinic where IU supposedly had her jaws reduced. According to her, the rumors surrounding the singer-songwriter are not true and that IU went to the clinic only to undergo skin treatment.
The journalist then explained how the rumors started, stating that the clinic IU went was well-known to do jaw reduction surgery. The clinic also offers other services other than surgeries.
