The May 11 broadcast of MBC’s ‘Picnic Live’ welcomed IU to the show, where she shared her musical journey in creating her 4th album ‘Palette’.
IU mentioned, “I wanted to go with “Palette” in the beginning; however, I had other options in mind such as “Twenty Five” for the title song.”
She continued, “But it turned out well as expected. It was just the right word to describe my very nature. My current state was ‘Palette’ itself.”
The singer also expressed concerns about how others reacted to her new album. “Many people praised this album while others wondered, ‘Why am I only talking about myself?’ They said a lot of times they wanted to empathize with my music but wasn’t able to do so,” she shared, due to the fact that “Palette” describes her own life’s journey and how she’s matured over the years.
