Incheon International Airport has seen the greatest number of passengers in its history this week, as summer vacation season peaks.
There was a record 205,000 travelers on Sunday — 110,000 outbound and 95,000 inbound, according to the airport on Monday. The previous record was 201,000 set on Feb. 19 this year.
Flight schedules broke new records as well with 1103 flights — 540 arrivals and 563 departures.
To respond to the overwhelming crowds, the airport moved the first check-in time forward from 6.10 a.m. to 5:40 a.m. An additional 20 mobile check-in counters were also added.
