B1A4"s Baro and Sandeul to star together in web drama "Loss:Time:Life"

Not one but two B1A4 members are expanding their acting careers with the web drama "Loss:Time:Life"!

The omnibus drama is about people who have died and are judged by a referee panel. The time in their lives that were spent uselessly, known as "lost time", is given back to them as their last moments in life. It"s a remake of the 2008 Japanese drama.

Baro"s role doesn"t sound too different from real life, as he will play a top idol rapper. But his character is known as a playboy, but he actually has a kind heart, always feeling sorry for the girl he sang a duet with back during his debut, for not having been able to do anything for her.

And fellow member Sandeul will play a kind maknae son of a cheapskate mom.

This will be Baro"s next role after MBC"s "Angry Mom", while this production is Sandeul"s first role in a drama! It"s great that Sandeul gets to act in his first drama with his fellow B1A4 member, who"s sure to give some good tips and encouragement as an "acting sunbae".

The web drama will be available much sooner than you think, on July 9 through Naver TVCast and other online sites! Will you be watching this drama?

Ji Soo has opened up about how its like to be co star of Kim Hee Sun who is 16 years old older than him in real life

Ji Soo has opened up about how its like to be co star of Kim Hee Sun who is 16 years old older than him in real life

Ji Soo Describes What Its Like to Work with 16 Years Older Actress Kim Hee Sun as His Love Interest In a recent interview for MBC, young actor Ji Soo, born in 1993, was asked about his chemistry with actress Kim Hee Sun who was born in 1977. In the drama Angry Mom, Ji Soos character, Bok Dong, is in love with Jo Bang Wool, the 18-year-old alter ego of Jo Kang Ja, played by Kim Hee Sun. In the drama, Jo Kang Ha has gone undercover as a high school student in her daughters school to defend her daughter against bullies.

Ji Soo explains that its easy to believe that Kim Hee Sun is a high school student because she is so pretty and looks like she is in her 20s. When she is wearing her school uniform, I really see her as Jo Bang Wool, says Ji Soo. He has no trouble focusing on his character and his relationship with Jo Bang Wool. He adds,Bok Dong cant help but fall for her because [Kim Hee Sun] is so pretty and fits the [character of Jo Bang Wool].

Kim Hee Sun has also talked about working with the young actor, saying,“I’m living vicariously through the drama.”

Ji Soo also reveals in the interview that he ad-libbed a line in drama in which Bok Dong almost confesses his feelings to Bang Wool. In the scene, Bok Dong tries to dramatically reenact a typical K-drama confession scene. He asks if she likes him and then starts to say, I lik, but since it is his first time confessing and he is nervous, he ends up just saying her name- Jo Bang Wool- and walks away embarrassed. The word for like in Korean starts with the jo sound, which is the same sound that starts Jo Bang Wools name.

Co-star Chemistry On Set! GOT7's Jackson and KARA's Youngji Ignite Real-life Romance

Co-star Chemistry On Set! GOT7's Jackson and KARA's Youngji Ignite Real-life Romance

GOT7′s Jackson and KARA’s Youngji Finally Confess Their Feelings for Each Other?

GOT7's Jackson and KARA's Youngji seemed far from happy! Will they ignite real-life romance?

During the February 25th broadcast of MBC Every1’s “Weekly Idol," guests Big Byung and Chamsonyeo enjoy several games.

After finishing the “Random Play Dance,” Big Byung’s Jackson, Hyuk, Sungjae and Chamsonyeo’s G.NA, Sohyun, and Youngji play a game of truth or dare using a lie detector.

Jackson is the first victim of the game as the MCs ask, “Have you ever seen your roommate Youngji as a woman?”

Jackson states, “No matter what you say, a lie detector will always claim you lied.” He confidently says, “Yes,” expecting for the lie detector to say his is lying. However, contrary to his expectations, the machine’s verdict is that he is telling the truth. Afterwards, the MCs and guests frame Jackson as if he has a crush on Youngji.

The MCs then ask Jackson, “When did you feel attracted to Youngji?” to which Jackson says, “Honestly? When we first met,” causing everyone to burst in laughter over the cringeworthy yet sweet confession.

Next, Youngji receives the same question. She decides to follow Jackson’s advice and says, “I have seen Jackson as a man.” As expected, the machine states that she is telling the truth, causing an odd sense of love in the air.

You can watch the hilarious (but romantic?) clip here. The truth or date game starts around the 22:00 mark.

Thanks to Kricelle for the tip!

"Incomplete Life" star stays modest amid hype

Si Wan

"Incomplete Life" is the most profitable low-budget office drama without a star cast in nearly 20 years of cable history. It sold out its advertising spots every episode and is expected to earn 3 billion won ($2.8 million) from video-on-demand sales alone. Almost all the actors and actresses in the drama, whether they played leading or supporting roles, received acclaim from viewers for their realistic portrayals of average Joes swayed by power struggles within a typical Korean company. But the biggest beneficiary of the series is singer-actor Si Wan, who made his debut in 2010 as a member of K-pop boy group ZE:A - Children of Empire. "I felt like I was an unnecessary stone in the game Go when I debuted as a member of ZE:A - Children of Empire", said Si Wan during a recent media event organized late last month at a restaurant located in Mapo District, central Seoul. Si Wan plays the main character, Jang Geu-rae. Jang spent his early years playing Go. He was once a promising elite player in the world of black-and-white stones, but he failed to sign with a professional team. Instead he found a temporary job working at a trading company. In a sea of highly qualified employees who can speak up to four different languages, the clueless high school graduate is often underappreciated no matter how well he performs at work. And his future is always uncertain. Critics say the drama"s success comes from the main character because viewers see themselves in him. The title of the drama, which means "incomplete state", also comes from the game Go. In the drama, it refers to ordinary people in a jungle-like workplace. Because the press event was Si Wan"s first official appearance after the drama series, a throng of reporters flocked to the restaurant to hear what the actor had to say about his life-changing role. Due to the immense popularity of "Incomplete Life", Si Wan has signed contracts to endorse 10 different products - from clothing and finances to beverages and cars.Despite rave reviews of the main character, the 27-year-old singer said he was not content with his acting in the drama series. "I don"t think I"m accepted as an actor in this drama series", said Si Wan. "Rather, I felt I used up all the things I had inside as I was shooting ... In the latter half of the drama, I felt like I reached my limit with acting". Si Wan recalled the first time he received the screenplay for "Incomplete Life". "I thought to myself "I could have fun shooting this drama", but later realized this was not something I could approach easily. Eventually, I knew I was "Incomplete Life" in terms of acting". Si Wan stayed modest throughout the press event. "In the beginning of the drama series, I thought I was the perfect fit for Jang Geu-rae, but I realized I was wrong as the drama went on", he said. "I later realized that viewers could relate to Jang not because of my acting but because they were already Jang in their real lives. I would say I"m about 80 percent similar to him". Apart from its down-to-earth portrayal of office politics, the drama series also struck a chord with viewers because of how quotable it is. When asked to pick the most impressive line from Jang"s numerous quotes, Si Wan instead chose a line from supporting character Byun Seong-cheol: "I drink whenever I want, but you drink when others feel like drinking".The line is used when Oh Sang-sik, Jang"s boss in the trading company, entertains a client, Byun, by taking him to a room salon or a hostess bar. "Those lines reminded me of my father, who was always drunk back when I was young. And it made my heart empty. "I really hated the smell of alcohol on my father. The line made me think of him and I came to think "what happened to him?" and "what made him drink alcohol?"" Si Wan has not decided what his next project will be. "I"ll just stay true to the things that fall into my lap. But I hope the new year will be the same as 2014. I know it won"t be easy, though". BY PARK HYUN-TAEK, SUNG SO-YOUNG [[email protected]]
