Week in Review: This XOXO LoveThe biggest news of the week in K-pop is hands down the announcement of Exo’s long awaited come back.  It’s been more than a year since SM Entertainment’s wonder rookies debuted in April 2012 and at least they’re coming back with a full album, XOXO.  You gotta hand it to SM though, I’ve never seen another rookie group get so much hype so fast and still be relevant after only releasing one EP. And it’s been fun (and crazy and sometimes scary) as Exo fans got ‘creative’ to fill in the void

Out of pure boredom and to prove that still have it after all those years, Tony An, Moon Hee Jun, Eun Ji Won, Danny Ahn, and Chun Myung Hoon recreated a classic music video, revisiting the past. On May 15’s broadcast of QTV’s 20th Century Boys, first generation group members decided to recreate N.R.G’s You Can Do It! music video from 1997. Including bits and pieces from their history as H.O.T, g.o.d, Sechs Kies, and N.R.G, members, the former idol group members put out a hilarious parody of the original music video, allowing nostalgia to gently settle down on the older crowd of Kpop fans while introducing the past to new fans

H.J.g.R, made up of members of each legendary 90s idol group, H.O.T, Sechskies, g.o.d, and NRG, has released an official teaser for “You Can Do It” (“May I Love You“)! H.J.g.R is actually a project group formed for the show ‘Handsome Boys of the 20th Century‘, in which Tony An (H.O.T), Moon Hee Jun (H.O.T), Chun Myung Hoon (NRG), Eun Ji Won (Sechskies), and Danny Ahn (g.o.d) star in. The former idols reminisced back to the 90s as they came together to shoot a music video as part of their TV show, and it seems they’re set to officially release the song as well! The release will take place on the 20th, so check out the teaser or the full MV, which has already been shown through the TV show, below

Tony An (35) kept his answers short and curt when asked about his girlfriend, Hyeri (19) of Girl’s Day. On May 15, the press conference for a new MBC variety program, “Final Adventure” was held. During the event, a reporter asked how Tony felt about dating Hyeri and Tony answered, “That has nothing to do with this program so I have nothing to tell you.” Then, singer Jo Sung Mo, who was sitting next to Tony, answered, “He probably feels good about it,” which made everyone laugh

 Get ready for a blast to the past! The original idol men of “20th Century Boys” will be coming together a “HotSechGodRG” and release a music video as part of a special project. HotSechGodRG consists of the cast of “20th Century Boys” or H.O.T.’s Moon Hee Jun and Tony Ahn, Sechs Kies‘ Eun Ji Won, g.o.d.‘s Danny Ahn, and NRG‘s Chun Myung Hoon. Their project song will be titled “We Can Do It” and the teaser was shared on MyRealQTV’s YouTube channel

If you have not been living under a rock and follow Korean entertainment news you should know that Tony Ahn (from the legendary K-Pop group H.O.T) and Girl’s Day Hyeri are dating. On May 9, Shinhwa appeared on MBC’s “Radio Star.” The show commemorated the 15th anniversary of Shinhwa’s debut. On this day, the MCs of “Radio Star” brought up Tony Ahn and Girl’s Day who have a 16 year age gap between them. Jun Jin said, “They have a serious relationship that is as serious as their age gap

On May 9, the MV teaser for the upcoming Wonder Boyz single “Tarzan” was released. There was something very neat about the teaser! The teaser revealed that Girl’s Day Hyeri (Hyeri made headlines in the Korean Entertainment world when it was found out that she was dating Tony Ahn from H.O.T) makes an appearance! It is known that she appeared in the “Tarzan” music video free of charge. On May 9, the Wonder Boyz entertainment agency Enter 102 stated, “Girl’s Day Hyeri showed off her loyalty/friendship by stating that she would appear in the ‘Tarzan’ music video, once she heard that the Wonder Boyz would be coming back
