Gong Yoo Hinting On a New Movie? 'Goblin' Actor Reveals The Possibility During His Hong Kong Fan Meet
“Goblin” actor Gong Yoo was recently in Hong Kong for his “Gong Yoo Live-Make a Wish” fan meeting. During the event, the actor was asked by a fan regarding his future plans.
As reported by Soompi, Gong Yoo was in Hong Kong on Saturday, May 6, to meet his loyal fans and received a question regarding his future plans. In his response, Gong Yoo replied how he missed working on a movie set. Is he hinting on a new movie?
The actor then clarified that he has not decided on anything currently. However, Gong Yoo added that it’s possible that his next project might be a movie.
Gong Yoo also said that he does not plan on taking a long break. He added how for him, filming drama was very exhausting.
Gong Yoo’s associate from his agency, Gong Hyo Jin, made a surprise appearance at the fan meeting. Hyo Jin happens to be a very close friend of the “Goblin” actor.
The fans were pleased to see Gong Hyo Jin and Gong Yoo on the same stage, and claimed how good they look “together”. Gong Hyo Jin then revealed the first time she met the “Goblin” actor, stating how “chatty” Gong Yoo was.
2016 was indeed a good year for Gong Yoo, starring in the hit movie “Train to Busan”. However, Gong Yoo was well-known for his role as the protector of souls in the hit TV drama “Goblin”.
Gong Yoo’s fame even made the Filipino-Australian celebrity/host Anne Curtis-Smith fangirl over him as she attended his Hong Kong fan meet. As reported by ABS-CBN News, the celebrity is well-known to have a huge crush on the Korean actor.
After the fan meet, Curtis expressed how thankful she was to see Gong Yoo in person in her Instagram photo. “Never had I imagined I’d get to see him THIS close. From being a fan that was just watching his series and movies to THIS,” captioned the Filipino actress.
Meanwhile, because of Gong Yoo’s popularity in the Philippines, “Goblin” is set to air on the country’s roster of evening dramas. This is in response to the actor’s huge fan-base in the country.
