6 Things We Omit or so The Golden Technology Of K-Popmayme22 June 3, 2016 0 Ahh, the Golden Era of K-pop. The precise years are debatable, yet for most, it was once from 2007-2010 (give or take). It turned into a time when the Hallyu Wave did no longercome with the words “Gangnam Style,” and we all knew the choreo to Rains Love Song. Able for a throwback? Here are the pinnacle seven things we miss about the Golden Era of K-pop:
1. Your wholefavouriteteams were in truthcomplete… and no, I’m no longerspeaking about EXO.
Aww glance at those fetuses seeking toappear to be bad boys.
2. The closeness between K-pop groups Breezy_Zander
This one is tougher to explain, but nowadays, there doesnt trulyappear to be a closeness between the more recent K-pop groups. Of course, K-pop idols obviously have buddies in other groups, but you dont truly get that familial setting of the past. Nowadays there are displays specifically about friendships like Superstar Bromance, when sooner than we had displays like Invincible Youth, Family Outing, etc. that were enough. Not to mention, in the Golden Era, different groups collaborated — and made HILARIOUS covers (practically all of the time) — regardless of if they were YG or SM or JYP.
Boys Generation and beauty Boys anyone? These were legendary.
(On a random aspect note: I truly miss X-Man. And Come to Play. And the old Satisfied Together. And Oh! My School. The newer kind shows don’t feel as… homey? There has been a other feel to range shows back then.)
3. When these songs were SLAYING the charts:Wonder LadiesNo one
BIGBANGs Haru Haru, Lee Hyoris U Cross Girl, Brown Eyed Women Abracadabra to call a few.
(Nobody is 8 years old this year. And for T-ARAs Bo Peep Bo Peep, do you all remember that degree where 2PMs Jun. K made a cameo? DUDE I feel OLD.)
4. Whilst you were Death to be the fan club president of your favorite group’s fan club
We are her, and she is us. Dont deny it.
These days, with the recognition of Twitter and Instagram in Korea – you worldenthusiastsat the gift time don’t know the wayfortunateyou're — it’s such a lotmore straightforwardto engage amongst idols. BUT I might argue it’s so much less private (there were a TON of perks whenever you were the fan club president, like having the abilityto speak with the corporateto organize fan events. Not too certain if this still holds true nowadays).
5. When there wasn’t a new team debuting every week gurupop
Nowadays everyone, everyones friend, uncle, mom, cat (not complaining about this one though), and grandma are debuting. I mean, it’s calmed down because the Debut Chaos of 2012 (when I temporarily left the K-pop scene… most effectiveto come to fifty thousand new groups), but still, they appear to stay coming.
6. Drama parodies! dsouls
Who may justomit the mythical BIGBANG Secret Garden?? (DAESANG WAS Fully FABULOUS.)
Ok, this one I could realize why. There hasnt actually been a drama in the new years thats had meme- or parody-worthy moments. (Descendants of the Sun had its lovely moments, but it isn’t precisely a meme-ful drama…)
Doesnt mean we miss it any less.
