Showing an unusual musical sense already at three, a six-year-old prodigy got her hands on an instrument called a "violin" for the first time, and her genius for the violin kicked in.

Delicate Female Solo Artists Better than Girl Groups and Hip Hop?

Female solo singers are dominating the music charts.

On August, 30, the real-time chart on a main music site indicated that the top spots were occupied by women solo artists. The female solo artists won out against even the popular girl groups and hip hop songs.

Yoon Mi Rae's "Touch Love" took the number 1 spot. This song, which was released on August 28, is the OST for SBS "The Master's Sun." The song starts off with a love-themed piano melody and harmonizes with an R&B rhythm and Yoon Mi Rae's voice to create a melancholy ballad.

Lyn's influence is amazing, too. Her new song "I Like this Song," which was released on August 29, is currently number 2 on the Melon music chart

SPICA Shines with "Tonight"

SPICA Shines with “Tonight”

Spica has never really been on my radar. Though I did like “Painkiller,” Spica never managed to make an impression and I forgot about them soon after. However, when I heard the teaser for “Tonight” I was actually intrigued.

“Tonight” isn’t anything groundbreaking, but it’s definitely well-composed and Spica’s vocals shine. Prior to it’s release, the song was hyped because the lyrics were co-written by member Boa and labelmate Lee Hyori. I’m usually wary of such hype, but I was in for a pleasant surprise.

The MV is pretty simple — Spica goes on a hippie road trip. There’s camping, guitars, a bonfire, and floral crowns!

Joking aside, this MV does a great job of creating a fun, carefree atmosphere; this is the MV’s strength
