For two weeks in a row, “My Love, My Bride – 2014“, a rom-com remake by Lim Chan-sang, topped the local box office, according to the Korean Film Council yesterday.
The movie garnered 396,163 viewers to bring its two-week total to 1,441,896. It has made 11.3 billion won ($10.7 million) so far. Its realistic depiction of marriage and the troubles that come with it has sparked empathy with the characters from modern-day audiences.
In second place was Luke Evans”s “Dracula Untold”, which pulled in 260,592 viewers over the weekend, followed by “Whistle Blower”, which attracted 170,691 people. The film, inspired by a real-life scientific scandal, has sold 1,555,718 tickets so far. ...
Heightening the anticipation of who will be the next three members to join iKON, YG Entertainment has revealed that “Mix & Match” will be holding its final match on October 22 at Korea University in Seoul.
On the previous edition of “Mix & Match,” the nine boys were separated into three teams and each team was given a YG female vocalist to work with for their collaboration match.
