SNSD are often referred to these days as ‘dae-sunbae (awesome seniors)’ by younger groups, which makes ShinHwa dae-dae-sunbaes. Having recently wrapped up promotions for their 11th studio album, first generation idol group have been proving that they still got it, recently doing a concert tour. A couple SNSD members made sure to attend the grand finale show, giving some support to the legendary group.
Taeyeon uploaded a video onto instagram on August 3rd of the crowd during the concert opening, commenting “I’m nervous! Looking forward to it looking forward to it. #ShinHwaCreation~“
The chuckles heard in the video were apparently Yuri, as photos were also released of the two members visiting M a.k.a Minwoo backstage
First generation ajosshi idol group Shinhwa has found themselves at the center of controversy this week due to what many have complained was offensive and inappropriate content that aired on a recent episode of Shinhwa Broadcast. While the variety show is famous for featuring all manner of shenanigans, the abusive treatment of Andy — who was, over the course of the episode, kidnapped by the so-called “Infinity Girls” (Kim Shin-young, Shin Bong-sun, Song Eun-yi, Baek Bo-ram, Kim Sook, and Hwangbo), tied up, subjected to repeated groping and forced kisses, blindfolded, and made to walk into objects that would purposely hit him in his rather sensitive nether regions, did not sit well with its audience
In a recent recording of jTBC’s Shinhwa Broadcast, Andy was kidnapped by the cast of MBC every1’s Infinity Girls.
After taking Andy hostage, Song Eun E, Kim Sook, Shin Bong Sun, Kim Shin Young, and Baek Boram tested out the 15 year friendship to see how far the Shinhwa members would go to save their team’s youngest.
The Infinity Girls cast demanded that the Shinhwa members earn Andy’s random money by doing all sorts of strange jobs, like trying to sell pork belly on the street or voguing in the middle of a large square.
To see if Shinhwa was able to rescue Andy or not, tune into Shinhwa Broadcast on June 2.

Recently, long-lived idol group Shinhwa and Heo Young Saeng starred in the new episode of ‘Happy Together 3′. On the show, SS501′s Heo Young Saeng revealed that Shinhwa’s Lee Min Woo influenced him the most.
In the new episode, MC Yu Jae Suk asked SS501′s Heo Young Saeng, who is the most influential member from Shinhwa, to which Young Saeng replied “Lee Min Woo sunbae” and caused other members to get jealoused. Also, Shinhwa members were delighted as Heo Young Saeng praised Shinhwa many times, saying “Shinhwa is a role model”.
Heo Young Saeng said “Lee Min Woo sunbae is good at both singing and dancing, but I’m not good at dancing. I have always wanted to dance like Lee Min Woo sunbae everytime when I’m in front of the camera”. Upon hearing this, Jun Jin could not help but enviously said “You don’t like me?”, leaving Young Saeng feeling awkward
Shinhwa gifted their beloved hoobaes with the special versions of their 11th album ‘The Classic‘!
Girls’ Generation, 2PM, and Nine Muses all experienced the love backstage for the 700th episode special of KBS 2TV‘s Music Bank, and they were all smiles as they took photos together with the legendary group.
Girls’ Generation did the trademark ‘We are Shinhwa!’ pose as they held up their copies of the album with their Shinhwa sunbaes. The groups are close because many of the girls were young trainees while Shinhwa was still under SM Entertainment.
2PM not only got their own copies, but they had something to give Shinhwa as well! The two groups swapped albums, and Nichkhun even posted on his Twitter, “OMG ♥
Shinhwa‘s Dongwan gave Girls’ Generation some life advice during a recent filming of JTBC‘s ‘Shinhwa Broadcast‘.
Girls’ Generation decided to share some of their concerns and get some advice from the sunbae group. Sooyoung shared, “Is it better to [experience things] when I’m young even though I’ll regret it?”
Dongwan responded, “When I look back on my 20s, I regret more that I didn’t experience things because I thought I would regret it.” He continued, “If I were to return to the same age as Girls’ Generation, I think I would be more of a troublemaker with the consideration that I wouldn’t inconvenience others,” revealing his own regrets
Shinhwa member Shin Hyesung recently revealed that if he had the opportunity to collaborate with any hoobae, he would choose IU.
Shin Hyesung explained his choice by saying that IU is a skillful singer who is able to effectively convey various emotions and feelings through her voice. However, Shin Hyesung did admit that when he first heard of IU, he did not think she was actually a talented singer. Instead, he thought that IU was just another cute, young singer, but when he saw IU play her guitar and perform at a music show, his perception of her changed, and he realized how musically mature she was. As a result, Shin Hyesung would love to have the opportunity to collaborate with IU.
In related news, Shin Hyesung is currently promoting his solo winter album "Winter Poetry", was released on December 4th. The title track for his album is "It'd Be Nice If It Were You," and the music video was released along with the album on December 4th
