A Malaysia girl deemed as 'Yoona's doppelganger' is becoming an issue.
Yesterday, one online community forum posted a picture under, 'Malaysia girl who looks like Yoona'.
In the picture, Girls' Generation Yoona and a Malaysia girl wrapped in purple traditional clothing are shown. The sharp chinline, big eyes makes them look so similar that it's almost hard to tell them apart.
Internet users commented, "She must be so popular in Malaysia", "Yoona's hidden sister" and "They look like twins."

Recently on various online communities, a photo was uploaded under the title, “A Malaysian girl who resembles YoonA.”
In the picture is a girl wearing a light purple hijab. With her kind and youthful face, this girl appears to strongly resemble Girls’ Generation’s YoonA. Her slim face, large eyes, and the shape of her lips as she smiles show uncanny similarity to YoonA.
Apparently this unknown girl has received a lot of attention on Facebook in the past due to her likeness to YoonA.

Her milky white skin and smile are also a lot like Yoona. The girl previously received considerable attention as Yoona’s doppelganger on Facebook.

A Malaysian girl with the Twitter username @Apple_Effa recently shared a few selcas and the photos received immediate attention because of her close resemblance to YoonA. Other selcas showed that the likeness was not due to manipulation of angles or lighting, and that she actually boasted of beauty that was very much like YoonA. The photos were recently shared onto a Korean community board, where they become a trending topic.
Fans commented, “Usually I don’t see the resemblance in these doppelganger things, but this has 100% synchronization“, “She looks just like YoonA“, and “Maybe they were separated at birth?“.

In conjunction with YoonA’s birthday, international fans have put up ads with their birthday wishes.
Recently, on an online community board, a post entitled ‘Magazine that published SONEs’ birthday messages for YoonA’ was published. Captures of the Malaysian entertainment magazine were also attached along with the post.
In the pictures revealed, the birthday messages from Malaysian fan group for YoonA were published on a popular music magazine ‘EPOP’ in celebration of YoonA’s birthday. This activity is similar to what is being practiced in Korea where fans put up ads on newspapers for their favorite celebrities.
Particularly, as a testimony to SNSD’s reputation as one of the biggest names, not only in Korea but also the whole of Asia, Malaysian Sones have managed to fill every single space on a single page of the magazine with their birthday messages for YoonA

KBS 2TV’s drama “Love Rain,” featuring actor Jang Keun-suk and singer Yoona from Girls’ Generation, is set to be exported to 12 international markets.
Twelve networks from Japan, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, the Philippines, Cambodia, Singapore and some Western nations have expressed interest in purchasing distribution rights, according to the agency for the drama, Y Tree Media.
In Korea, the drama began airing on March 26. Currently, the show is also available on YouTube with subtitles in various languages.
Recently, a special exhibition for the program was staged at Haneda Airport in Japan, and the show also managed to get a mention at the world’s biggest TV and media event MIP TV at the Palais de Festivals, which was held in Cannes, France, in April
Ongoing drama "Love Rain" is confirmed to have sold its distribution rights to twelve countries. The drama which stars Jang Geunsuk and Girls' Generation's Yoona continues to receive much attention from overseas audiences and was sold to China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore, Malaysia, Europe, Cambodia, America and the Philippines.
The drama's promoter also revealed that "Love Rain" also gained attention during the content market, MIPTV held in Cannes, France last April. It was also stated that the actors and staff of the production were extremely excited that they drama was sold to many countries.
Meanwhile, "Love Rain" is also set to start airing on Japan's cable channel KN TV on May 26th and on Fuji TV by July.
