EXO’s Chanyeol, Oh Jong Hyuk and Park Jung Chul will be joining the cast of ‘Law of the Jungle’.
On October 16, a representative of the show stated that EXO’s Chanyeol, Oh Jong Hyuk and actor Park Jung Chul will be joining the members of ‘Law of the Jungle’ for its upcoming Micronesia adventure. It was also revealed that the show is in the process of casting another additional member.
Oh Jong Hyuk and Park Jung Chul participated in the show for more than a couple of times in the past, and it is first time for Chanyeol to join the show. They will be heading to Micronesia in mid-October.
‘Laws of the Jungle’ embarks on its Himalaya adventure and climbs to the peak of its time slot in viewer ratings
‘Laws of the Jungle‘ aired the first episode of its Himalaya adventure on the 17th, and just like the Himalayas, the show is on a peak that its competitors can’t seem to reach.
According to AGB Nielsen Media Research, the May 17th broadcast of ‘Laws of the Jungle’achieved a 15.8% viewer rating, which is a 0.4% increase from its previous viewer rating of 15.4% for the New Zealand special. For the Himalaya special, the fixed members were joined by soccer player Ahn Jung Hwan, actress Oh Ji Eun, actor Kim Hye Sung, and Jung Joon.
Meanwhile, KBS 2TV‘s ‘VJ Special Forces‘ achieved a 7.9% viewer rating, while Fei‘s third win on MBC‘s ‘Dancing With the Stars 3‘ wasn’t enough for the show to get past the 7
The New Zealand arc of ‘Laws of the Jungle‘ has come to an end.
Even before the airing of the first episode, the show became embroiled in controversy after the agency head of Park Bo Young posted commentschallenging the truth of the reality program. Even though he apologized and the staff of the show remained adamant that the show was completely sincere, evidence arose that some of the elements on the show were false and it rapidly spread on the internet. The show issued an apology, but despite the controversy, the variety show had maintained its #1 spot in its timeslot.

The cast of SBS‘s ‘Laws of the Jungle‘ will be battling it out versus the ‘Running Man‘ members in next week’s episode!
The preview shows the wilderness-hardened ‘Jungle’ members going against the ‘Running Man’ cast members, with each team staking their pride and their variety show to determine who will take home the prize. ‘Laws of the Jungle’ cast members making an appearance will include Kim Byung Man, 2AM‘s Jinwoon, Park Jung Chul, and several other former ‘Jungle’ crew members.

According to AGB Nielsen Media Research, the April 19th broadcast achieved a 14.1% viewer rating which was a 1.7% decrease from its previous viewer rating of 15.8%. Although ‘Laws of the Jungle’ has been seeing ups and downs in its viewer ratings, the show still managed to soar above their competitors’ single-digit ratings.
Meanwhile, KBS 2TV‘s ‘VJ Special Forces‘ and MBC‘s ‘Dancing With the Stars 3‘ garnered a 8.0% and 7.6% viewer rating, respectively.
Actor Jung Joon cuts filming in the Himalayas for ‘Laws of the Jungle’ short due to altitude sickness
Actor Jung Joon, who was filming for ‘Laws of the Jungle‘ in the Himalayas, was forced to return to Korea due to altitude sickness.
According to a SBS representative on the 18th, Jung Joon was passing through a tribal village at 3,800M above sea level in the Himalayas when he was afflicted with a sudden case of altitude sickness. He returned to Korea on the 15th to recover.
For the Himalaya special, the fixed members were joined by soccer player Ahn Jung Hwan, actress Oh Ji Eun, Kim Hye Sung, and Jung Joon. The Himalayas special will begin airing on May 17th following the ‘Laws of the Jungle In New Zealand’ special.

The show has been maintaining its #1 spot in viewer rankings for its time slot for the past several months, seemingly unbeatable.
Meanwhile, MBC‘s ‘Dancing With the Stars 3‘ and KBS 2TV‘s ‘VJ Special Forces‘ achieved a 8.2% and 8.0% viewer ranking, respectively, as the other Friday variety shows of the main broadcasting stations.
Team Kim Byung Man found Pororo in the jungle!
On March 29th’s airing of ‘Laws of the Jungle‘, No Woo Jin discovered a nest after an animal created a strange noise. Kim Byung Man commented, “I think it’s a penguin.”
The team came back at night and found an adorable blue penguin. Kim Byung Man said, “It really does look like Pororo,” while Park Bo Young asked, “Do penguins usually stand like this?”
Answering Park Bo Young’s question, he joked, “It’s a very respectful penguin.”
The penguin got into an attack position due to feeling threatened by team Byung Man, so he explained, “Let’s not get too close and look at it from afar
