Billboard, Spin, and a host of other media outlets in the United States have already jumped on the bandwagon making Korean pop more accessible to the masses, but the internet continues to be the biggest propellant.
Viral doesn't even begin to express the success rate of Korea's biggest stars on YouTube, but as many K-Pop fans already know, there is more to it than cutesy music videos and flashy dance numbers - a lot of legitimately good music is pouring out of the peninsula, and slowly but surely it's catching on
Former After School member/leader Kahi, who started as a dancer and is now back as a solo artist, recently talked about what it was like to be the leader of a girl group.
Kahi was featured on the November 16 episode ‘Dancer Kahi, Returns a Solo Artist’ of MBC’s “Human Documentary: We Like People.”
In this episode, the former After School leader spoke about her position while in the group. She said, tearing up, “The members were always my responsibility. If I think about it, I find myself pitiful.”
Fellow After School member Nana, who was listening, also cried, and tried to comfort Kahi, saying “You’re being silly. Why are you crying?”

On November 4, 2013, Girls' Generation dropped their second Japanese music video "My oh My". The video was shared on YouTube through the SM Town official channel, and gained over 4 million views in a mere couple of days.
Song: 7 out of 10
The song is easily comparable to many of their hits in the past, and it shows exactly what the fans expect of the girl group. Their vocal ranges are showcased as much as possible (except for Sunny, which I was only SLIGHTLY disappointed by, still a good song overall. Plus it's difficult to propagate democracy in a girl group of nine talented members, and the beat is consistent throughout. It's an easy melody to get stuck in your head and it sticks.
Music Video: 7 out of 10
The looks of the girls in the music video are still from when they promoted I Got A Boy, and when it comes to Girls' Generation, you cannot expect any less than vibrant, young, and fresh
