[Hot Takes from the Noonas] Lee Seong-kyeong and Nam Joo-hyuk are dating

After being outed by Korean gossip site, Dispatch, Lee Seong-kyeong and Nam Joo-hyuk confirmed through their agency that they've been dating for the past five months.

According to their agency, YG Entertainment, the two of them had been friends since their modelling days. The pair had also appeared together in "Cheese in the Trap" prior to their turn in "Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-joo".

I'm no math expert, but five months places the start of their relationship in December, midway through the filming of "Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-joo". Lee Seong-kyeong starred as the titular weight-lifting fairy, while Nam Joo-hyuk played the best friend with whom she falls in love. In a case of real life mirroring art, the couple not only went from friends to lovers onscreen, but also in real life as the drama progressed. Maybe that's why they had so much chemistry?

On the latest episode of the MBC drama "Radiant Office", Eun Ho-won (Ko Ah-seong) pointed out Seo Hyeon's (Kim Dong-wuk) injustice during a meeting.

Seo Hyeon claimed that he had no plans for hire in the latter half of the year and Eun Ho-won asked what was going to happen to the preferred conditions of the winners of the second half design contest.

Seo Hyeon said, "Internal circumstances of the company led to the decision so do I have to tell you everything? We never told you to join the contest".

[Hot Takes from the Noonas] Sin Seong-rok, Choi Min-soo, and Kang Ye-won to star in "Man Who Dies to Live"

MBC rounds out the cast of family comedy drama, "Man Who Dies to Live", as it confirms Sin Seong-rok, Choi Min-soo, and Kang Ye-won as the leads.

If you're excited about that cast, then brace yourself for the plot: Choi Min-soo will play Jang Dal-goo, a man who leaves Korea in the 1970s and becomes a count in a fictional Middle Eastern country named Bodantia. He comes home to reconcile with his daughter and son-in-law, played respectively by Kang Ye-won and Sin Seong-rok.

if I had to pick someone to play an eccentric count dad, Choi Min-soo would probably have been my second choice. Strangely enough, my first choice might have been Sin Seong-rok; he's played villain often enough to prove he can pull off gravitas (see "Liar Game" and "My Love from the Star"), and he's equally good at playing absurd (see "Trot Romance"). Here's hoping he's not wasted in a role that's described as handsome but boring.
