Actor Lee Min Ho’s popularity overseas is beyond imagination. The actor and his agency personnel are shocked by the enthusiastic fans that come from overseas in order to watch him on the set of filming the SBS’ drama, “The Heirs.”
Fans from China visited Lee Min Ho at his home in Nonhyun-dong, Seoul as well as followed him on his filming schedule to Gyunggi-do Yang Pyung and Gyunggi-do Ilsan. These fans shadowed the actor day and night traveling in pairs or in small groups through hiring “sasaeng taxis.”
A representative of Starhaus Entertainment stated, “We do now know how they find out about the filming locations. We are amazed that they know. We are grateful for the support of fans that come from overseas just to get a glimpse of him. However, there are also safety concerns
Zico of Block B expressed his feelings about the distress he experiences from his sasaeng fans.
On November 17, Zico tweeted about the stress he had received from saseng fans. “Please stop the prank calls and SNS messages. I get over 15 prank calls a day, and I am truly stressed out from them. If you want to hear my voice, please come to our performances. I’m getting tired of blocking numbers and changing my phone number.”

Sasaeng fans are known to be a little more extreme to idol stars
Super Junior’s Kim HeeChul finally made a new twitter account with the name ‘@HeeZZinPang’. He was known to be an active twitter user before his military enlistment and had millions of followers around the world. However, last year in July, he closed his twitter account because of sasaeng fans.
After making a new twitter account, he announced it on his instagram and also posted a lot of pictures on his twitter. He made his cartoon icon, “Heebum, the cat” as his logo picture. All his fans were happy with this news, they immediately followed him and welcomed him back on twitter.
EXOSNL Korea parodies EXO's sasaeng fans
One of the hottest groups in K-Pop these days is twelve-member boy band EXO. Even though they only debuted last year, they have quickly become one of the most dominant groups in the genre - and naturally with all that fame comes, for better or worse, a very large fanbase.
When EXO is not climbing to the top of the music charts, making their rounds of music programs and promoting their new songs, they are constantly in battle with their incredibly over-zealous fans.
A hot topic of controversy for the past several months, EXO has seen their fans do some pretty whacky things in an attempt to get closer to the idols' personal lives.
From getting themselves banned from live tapings of Inkigayo, to breaking and entering and even crashing weddings, it seems like some members of the EXO fandom will stop at nothing to stalk and invade the personal lives of their beloved stars
After some frantic fans disturbed the wedding of member Baekhyun’s brother, EXO member Tao expressed his disappointment and stated that he will no longer tolerate their rudeness.
Member Tao posted an angered message on his Weibo account saying, “I’m really sick of these people calling us continuously throughout the night. The people chasing us around everywhere, is it fun? I dislike people who invade into my privacy! I’m not a criminal! It’s not a crime to go outside! I want my rest and I want my personal space! Not like how it is now!”
The post has been deleted but Tao changed his status to “I’m loving everyone who is loving EXO using the right way! I do not know how to thank you. All I can say is I love you all! Thank you.”
As previously reported, Baekhyun along with other EXO members were at a wedding for his older brother when several fans crashed the ceremony and caused a disturbance
Overenthusiastic K-pop fans, known as sasaeng fans in Korean, were in the news again after several interfered with a wedding over the weekend.
Baekhyun from the boy group Exo was at a wedding for his older brother on Saturday when several fans crashed the ceremony and caused a disturbance.
It got especially bad when Baekhyun and two other Exo members stood to sing for the couple. The fans reportedly followed to the front and took photos and videos of the performance, while another fan stood on a chair.
One of the guests at the wedding posted photos of the saesang fans, criticizing them for ruining the couple's special day.
"They stood on top of chairs to record videos, and they were trying to take photos with the Exo members and get their autographs while the group was standing behind the newlyweds, watching the couple cut their cake", the guest wrote in an online post on Sunday
I guess everyone has an idea of what was going on during Baekhyun’s brother’s wedding. We all know that idols are somewhat superior and more attractive as compared to common people, but not to forget that, they are just other human beings with a different career, who need privacy, enjoyment, freedom and have emotions.
Wedding is supposed to be the most unforgettable moment once in a lifetime, merry and filled with blessings of people. And yet, sasaeng fans of EXO nonetheless, gave the married couple and EXO who was invited to the wedding a similar yet contrasting definition of wedding. The wedding was among one of the merriest wedding event, noisy and crowded with uninvited fans who climbed tables, shouting, cam recording, photoshooting, mistaken wedding as just another fan meeting occasion
EXO, Kris, TaoEXO-M members Kris and Tao address the group's crazy stalker fans
After some extremely inappropriate behavior at the wedding of Baekhyun's older brother, some of the other EXO members have written messages to the group's extreme stalker fans.
Two EXO-M members, Kris and Tao wrote scolding messages in Chinese (that were very shortly afterward translated into Korean and then English) directed at the twelve-member idol group's sasaeng fans ('private life' stalker fans).
Kris expressed his disappointment in the so-called fans' extreme behavior by writing, "You are supposed to spend youth noisily. However, there is a limit to everything so don't waste your life's stamina and money following me around.I cannot be responsible for everything in your life."
After echoing the oft-repeated words of Shinhwa member Dong Wan, who dealt with his group's crazy fans directly during a fan meeting for their first album by sternly saying, "Shinhwa is not responsible for your lives," Kris went on to express his concern for the future
Exo’s member Tao could no longer bare with harassment from sasaeng fans and posted on weibo to let out his anger.
On 29th September, Tao changed his profile photo to ‘F**K’ and left an angry comment regarding sasaeng fans.
Tao wrote that “I really cannot stand those who call us in the middle of the night, who kept sending us Kakao messages and following us wherever we go to. Do you enjoy this? I dislike people who invade into my privacy! I’m not a criminal! I do not commit crimes when I go out! All I want is to have a peaceful rest after my job is done, to have my own personal space! And not like what it is now!”
A few minutes after Tao’s weibo update, he deleted this comment but changed his status to “I’m loving everyone who is loving Exo using the right way! I do not know how to thank you
EXO Stalker Fans Continue Their Inappropriate Behavior – Why Won’t SM Entertainment Do Anything About It?
EXO, EXO-K, BaekhyunSasaeng fans ruin EXO Baekhyun's brother's wedding
It would appear that even after pleas from the group members, EXO continue their never-ending battle with sasaeng ('private life' stalker fans).
For sasaeng, who appear to have no qualms about overstepping boundaries, even the most private family events are not off limits. As was the case with the wedding of EXO-K member Baekhyun's older brother.
As reported by Sports Seoul, a group of these crazed fans crashed the wedding ceremony and ruined Baekhyun's brother's big day.
Eye-witness reports, as well as the sasaengs' own personal accounts of the incident, say that a bunch of overzealous stalker fans barged into the wedding hall with cameras and camcorders.
While Baekhyun was standing behind his brother and sister-in-law as they cut their wedding cake, a group of these so-called fans rushed over and asked for autographs
