YG Entertainment will not be represented at this year’s MBC Gayo Daejun.
A representative of MBC’s variety show department revealed, “YG Entertainment’s artists will not attend the 2013 MBC Gayo Daejun held on December 31. Currently we expect to see no performances from artists of YG.” Last year, YG artists attended the year-end festival for the first time in four years. 2NE1, Big Bang, Epik High and Lee Hi collaborated for various special stages, and world star PSY greeted the viewers with a friendly video message. This announcement must thus come as a surprise to many, especially those who were hoping to see YG and MBC strengthen their relationship this year.

World-renowned singer Psy is poised to return to the music scene, having decided on the main track for his new album.
"Already done with 3 songs and they are kinda nice", he wrote on his Twitter account in July, lifting his fans' expectations.
According to an official from YG Entertainment, Psy chose the main track after considering several songs, which had all been through thorough revisions. He has buckled down on recording, but a release date for the album has not yet been set.
"From the beginning, Psy never thought of taking advantage of his popularity from 'Gentleman' and 'Gangnam Style'," one of his aides said. "He is more prudent and more careful than before. It's true that his comeback is imminent, but nothing will be clear before all the work is done. Until he decides that it's perfect, there will be no release"
Nikon Imaging Korea recently released full images of YG Family members posing for their “A Shot A Day” campaign. Labelmates Goo Hye Sun, G-Dragon, TOP, Taeyang, Seungri, Dara, Park Bom, Se7en, Gummy, Yoo In Na, and PSY gather and pose with various Nikon camera models.
Earlier in March this year, YG Entertainment teamed up with Nikon in a marketing contract to target the youth audience. Under “A Shot A Day,” YG artists will take photos and videos of their life on a day-to-day basis using Nikon cameras. The videos be compiled into an episode and released in the future

On November 14, YG Entertainment revealed that G-Dragon would be the cover model for Italy's 'L'uomo Vogue' for their November issue.
He is the third Korean to be on the cover following Psy and Ban Ki Moon.
L'uomo Vogue is the Vogue men's edition which showcases trendy men's fashion.
'THE ASIAN WAY' was the concept for the cover story and although many stories were introduced, G-Dragon was chosen for the cover model.
For the shoot, G-Dragon expressed his own personal style and grabbed many people's attention.
