In 2011, Kara achieved their first No. 1 single on the Oricon chart, an unprecedented feat for an overseas girl group. After this, it was a matter of course that SM Entertainment”s Girls” Generation would be dubbed the most influential K-pop girl group of the century, again by Oricon, especially while at their peak in 2011 and 2012. The nine members inched into the music scene in Japan in late 2010, releasing numerous songs in Japanese, and their debut Japanese album “Girls” Generation” became the highest selling album in Oricon”s history for a K-pop group in 2011. ...

Actor Eric is ready to channel his focus back to promoting with Shinhwa!
During a special interview celebrating the ending of the drama “Discovery of Love“, Eric discusses his plans for the future as well as Shinhwa”s plans for the following year.
He said, “I”m going to be taking a break for a couple more days, then I”ll be releasing Shinhwa”s album and promoting as a part of Shinhwa. Starting from beginning of next year, I will be promoting as Shinhwa throughout [the year]. We have to prepare for the album and will be holding a concert as well. I will be taking a break from acting.” ...
Shinhwa”s Eric expressed his concern and pity towards the idols who have recently decided to leave their respective idol groups and gave heartfelt advice to his junior idols during a recent interview.
On October 16, Eric took part in a special interview with reporters at a cafe in Seoul, Shinsadong to celebrate the ending of the hit drama series, “Discovery of Love.”
