MBLAQ's Seung Ho to release Japanese solo debut album before heading to the army

MBLAQ's Seung Ho will be making his official solo debut in Japan.  This will most likely be his last official activities before heading off to the army.

According to an entertainment affiliate, Seung Ho will be releasing his Japanese solo album within the month of August and will be holding a fan meeting as well.

The idol star is receiving much attention as he will be making his solo debut after 8 years.  Seung Ho is looking forward to interacting with Japanese fans during the special event.  Meanwhile, it has been more than 2 years since MBLAQ released 'MIRROR' back in June 2015.

Korean Army Chief Punished Soldiers For Being Gay After Undercover Investigation

According to a campaign group, a high-ranking army official in South Korea has ordered a mass probe to identify gay soldiers.

A campaign group, Military Human Rights Center for Korea (MHRCK), has claimed that General Jang Junkyu, army chief of staff in South Korea, has set out a search to find and expose all suspected gay personnel.

The campaign group said that they had started receiving multiple reports from victims earlier this year. According to the full report by MHRCK, the army used dating apps to find the personnel and, once identified, interrogated the men about their private lives in explicit detail.

Lee Min-ho's agency has revealed that the actor will start serving as a public service officer at Gangnam District Office soon. Korean netizens are supportive of the move.

Normally, Koreans have been critical of celebrities who have chosen to enlist as public service officers rather than as active duty soldiers. In the case of Lee Min-ho, his history of car accidents, one in 2006 and another in 2011, have made the decision understandable. Fellow actor, Jeong Il-woo was also injured in the 2006 car accident, and enlisted as a public service worker in December 2016.
