Meet Nick Sammy: Ready To Shake Up K-Pop With Their Debut + An Awesome K-Pop Challenge

Hey Soompiers! Today were here with something special and two super unique musicians. Nick  Sammy have been in the business of giving our favorite songs their own special twist for two years — taking familiar melodies and re-creating them from scratch with some perfect English lyrics to match. With both Nick Sammy playing the instruments, rewriting the lyrics, and performing the song, its obvious that they are a superstar duo.

To really test their skills, weve partnered with them to challenge them to cover a song picked by Soompiers. We held a live poll to pick the song, and you all picked K.A.R.Ds Dont Recall. Stay tuned for their epic cover coming next week — but first meet the guys behind the music!

One the victims was a student who said that she was approached by a certain individual named Wong Mei Kei about a mini album event of K-pop idol group Red Velvet.

Though it was initially reported that passangers had been safely evacuated and rescued, it was soon revealed that this was not the case; as the nation descended upon the location of the sinking, and divers (celebrity and otherwise) lent their services, the death toll eventually crept up to 304. Many of the dead were students of Danwon High School, on a school trip to Jeju. The sinking is now remembered as the biggest maritime disaster for the country.
