On November 4th, SBS released a preview for their teen drama "Heirs," in which the network poked fun at the fact that the program is almost a direct correlation with the American drama "Gossip Girl." Cable channel tvN's unusual time-traveling drama series "Nine: Time Travelling Nine Times" could be coming to the West, as an American production company has bought its remake rights.
CJ E&M, which owns tvN, announced yesterday that the remake rights were bought by Fake Empire Productions, the company behind "Gossip Girl" and "Chuck".
Fake Empire is currently working on a screenplay for the pilot of the American version.
"Nine: Time Travelling Nine Times" starred Lee Jin-wook as Park Sun-woo, a news anchor who gets Nine: Time Travelling Nine Times incense sticks from Nepal, each of which can send him back 20 years for 30 minutes at a time. Park uses the power to try to save his father, but changing the past has repercussions on the present, forcing him to keep going back in time to fix the present
