There has been a traveling boom in the television world.
On September 11 KBS 2TV aired the pilot episode of "Sea I Wanted" (tentative translation). This show is a program that is centered around yacht travels.
If we take a close look at recent entertainment programs, it seems as if there is a running theme of travel.
These include entertainment programs such as KBS 2TV's "1 Night 2 Days," "Mamado," MBC's "Dad Where Are You Going," tvN's "Grandpas Over Flowers," and travel programs such as SBS "Law of the Jungle" and "Jjak."
So why has travel become the focus of so many entertainment programs? To put it simply, officials say "Travel brings about unexpected incidents
Walking away with the Daesang awards were Yoo Jae Suk and Ryu Seung Ryong at the 49th Baeksang Arts Awards 2013 held on the 9th.
The awards ceremony is held annually by IS PLUS Corp. to recognize outstanding achievements in the entertainment industry and to garner wide public attention upon the best in Korean films and dramas.

Former South Korean soccer player Ahn Jung Hwan will be joining the cast of SBS‘s wilderness variety program, ‘Laws of the Jungle‘.
Cast for the series’ upcoming Himalayan expedition into the rugged territory of Nepal, this will be his first variety outing as a cast member after having guested on variety talk show on KBS‘s ‘Win Win‘ for its last episode.
As a soccer player in the mid-90s and early 2000s, he gained a name for himself as one of South Korea’s top players until he announced his retirement in early 2012.
MMA fighter Choo Sung Hoon, better known as Yoshihiro Akiyama in the fighting world, revealed that his first impression of Kwang Hee made him question the ZE:A member’s sexual orientation.
On October 11, the two stars guest appeared on KBS “Happy Together 3.” Choo Sung Hoon said that he first met Kwang Hee while filming SBS “Law of the Jungle,” but he was surprised that Kwang Hee didn’t use honorific language from the beginning.

On May 7th, AGB Nielson Media Research, a company which logs viewer ratings for TV shows, released the ratings for programs which aired on Sunday, May 6th. The percentages are based on viewers in South Korea.
The variety show with the highest viewer rating was SBS‘s ‘Running Man‘ which gathered 17.7% of the South Korean audience.
The second most watched variety program was SBS’s ‘Laws of the Jungle 2‘ with 13.3% of the audience.
Third place went to MBC‘s “I Am A Singer 2” with 10.5% of the audience.
Furthermore, KBS2TV‘s ‘Qualification of Men‘ and ‘1 Night 2 Days‘, which have had high viewer ratings for several years were surprisingly in fourth and fifth place
