It’s been some time since a heart-tugging song and music video came our way in K-Pop.
On December 11, Yoon Jong Shin released the last single of his “Monthly Project 2013” series featuring friend Lee Juck. The track “The Day Long Ago” is a remake from his title track of the same name from his third album “The Natural.” It’s one of his most well-known songs.
Yoon Jong Shin already planned to release the track with Lee Juck a year before, and the recording finished this past autumn. Lee Juck chose the particular song for the collaboration, the arrangement, the instrumentation, and the singing.
Yoon Jong Shin admired his friend’s dedication. “I’ve never thought of someone else singing ‘The Day Long Ago’ besides me
The K-pop Christmas songs and MVs keep on coming! It’s only the second week of December and already the songs run the spectrum from sad, to happy, to silly. The last post on holiday songs definitely focused more on the tracks tailored towards single people mourning their lost love, so it is a nice change to get to focus on the happy, lovey-dovey Christmas songs this time around.
CNBLue’s Jonghyun and Juniel got together this season to do a collaborative duet, titled “Love Falls,” that expresses the heart-pounding emotions of high-school love. The two play the part of a teenage couple spending their first Christmas together and there is an abundance of puppy-eyes being made at each other. The MV basically includes an abridged version of an entire K-drama; falling in love, getting in trouble at school, planning Christmas surprise presents, conflict, doubt, jealousy and then a happy ending that ties into the promise they made at the beginning to see the snow fall together

On November 20, 2013, the music video for 2ne1's track Missing You was released. Beforehand, the audio teasers released for the music video and the song where purely acapella snippets from each member's line in the song. Later, the music video was released in full, with a lot of positive reviews. With good reason.

I don't know if it's just me who thinks this, but isn't it that every time 2NE1 comes back together as a group, they just get better? I should say this though, not all of their comeback songs are gems, but they always manage to bring it home with their incredible voices.
And it also just so happens that this song is fantastic and addictive and every bit as deserving of the love that it's getting
We all are like fish,
As fish are,
We are graded from first to ninth,
Highest-grade fish sell high,
Ninth-grade ones sell low,
But I don't want to sell like fish
This is "Fish" by Korean poet Lim Hye-jin. Recently, an animated version created by students from Da-Un High School in Ulsan earned the first prize at the 2013 Korea Youth Poetry Festival.
The poetry-themed festival for Korean youths, held on November 30 at the National Museum of Korea, introduced poetry-inspired creations in various forms by students from across the nation, including parodies, animations, performances and songs.
Co-hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MCST) and the Society of Korean Poets, the event was aimed at letting young and promising students realize how fun and creative poetry could be and at drawing creative, noble ideas from them through creation of their own poetry pieces
