HyunA has recently topped Taiwan’s largest music site KK BOX’s music charts the past couple days with her new track “Red.”

According to a report by MBN TV, HyunA took first place on KK BOX’s music charts with “Red” on August 24 and has continued to remain there today (August 27). HyunA first made her entrance onto the chart on the 21st, rising to the top within three days despite not releasing her album locally in Taiwan.

“A Talk” and “French Kiss” entered the same chart in 8th and 10th respectively as well. ...

To make our chart more reflective of what is hot internationally, we are introducing “Soompi Airplay” as 15% of our chart score. “Soompi Airplay” reflects the relevance of each artist by measuring the frequency of their coverage on Soompi each week. We feel that this adds our own flavor to the music chart rather than just sampling major Korean charts. With this change, we have reassigned our chart weights of other sources as well: GAON is now a 25% source while Billboard Korea has been eliminated. Taeyang’s “Eye, Nose, Lips” is No. 1 for the third consecutive week! Despite strong challengers, this song is still ranked at or near the top in all our chart sources. “Eye, Nose, Lips” won over San E and Raina’s duet “A Midsummer Night’s Sweetness” for a second week in a row, even though the gap is only 13 points this week. There are many changes in the rest of the top 10 as we have five new songs. At No. 3 is BEAST’s “Good Luck,” moving up from No. 15 last week. This is the title track of BEAST’s sixth mini-album. It has additive rhythm and is about a man who wishes his ex good luck after they broke up. The vocals have a sense of restraint to demonstrate the man will remain strong after suffering the heartache. “Good Luck” won on KBS Music Bank, MBC Music Core, and SBS Inkigayo last week and continues to rack up wins this week as well. On June 19, Chinese program “Music Billboard Charts” posted pictures of Lay’s appearance as a special temporary MC through their official Weibo, and described it as a great success.
In the revealed photo, Lay is seen dressed in a striped button-up shirt matched with a colorful floral tie, while holding a script in his hands. As it was his first try at taking part in a show as an MC, there are hints of nervousness and anxiety that can be seen on his face.
